Rafani
Souborná monografie představuje průřez dvaceti lety tvorby umělecké skupiny Rafani. Přináší jak bohatou obrazovou i textovou dokumentaci akcí a instalací skupin, tak i texty kurátorů a teoretiků umění – Kateřiny Štroblové, Noemi Purkrábkové, Karla Veselého, Tomáše Dvořáka a Krzysztofa Siatky.
Skupina vznikla v roce 2000 na jasně stanovených demokratických základech. Tvorba Rafanů se vyznačuje kolektivním přístupem a angažovaností ve smyslu zájmu o věci obecné. Rafani se dlouhodobě zabývají uměním ve veřejném prostoru a strukturální podobou výstav a zajímají se též o možnosti metafory, kterou chápou jako druh instrumentu, který může mít aktivizační účinky pro místní prostředí a konkrétní diskurz.
Galerie Sklad M1
Publikace je souhrnným katalogem výstav a akcí, které proběhly v rámci studentské galerie Sklad M1 v prvním patře na AVU za posledních pět let. Galerie vznikla z iniciativy studentů a studentek ateliéru Malby 1. Za dobu fungování galerie se podařilo uspořádat dvacet sedm výstav, z toho dvě se zahraničními hosty a jednu ve veřejném prostoru. Publikace prezentuje fotografický záznam z akcí a je představením kolektivní práce studentů a studentek, jež se na provozu galerie podíleli. V průběhu let se v galerii angažovali studující nejenom z ateliéru Malby 1 na AVU, ale také ze sochařských ateliérů a z Vysoké školy uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze. Hanku Kuklíkovou, Matěje Lišku, Marii Kuklíkovou, Vladyslava Afanasieva, Matěje Martince a Josefa Šmída spojil zájem o vytvoření galerie k prezentování studentské tvorby a místa pro pravidelné setkávání studentů. Hlavní myšlenkou galerie vždy bylo poskytovat výstavní příležitost studentům a absolventům vysokých uměleckých škol. A to zejména těm, kteří si o výstavní příležitost neumí říct, sami ji nevyhledávají a nedostává se jim tak pozornosti, kterou si zasluhují.
Dramaturgy and Research in Devised Theatre
The book deals with the research process and the role of the dramaturg in original non-interpretive theatre and consists of two parts. The Interviews chapter focuses on the creative process with an emphasis on the method of "devising" (collective authoring). In it, Synne Behrndt combines interviews with artists and theoretical perspectives to gather arguments for the claim that devising and performance are themselves research, and discusses the role of the dramaturg in this process.
Sodja Zupanc Lotker’s text describes theatre projects ranging from contemporary dance to drama to site-specific, audio projects, performative perfumes and performance auctions. These often begin with a theme, a question or an experience. He sees dramaturgy in this process as a dynamic process in which the project emerges to the audience. The performance is a kind of projection screen, offered to the audience for collaborative reflection, endless, constantly bringing new stimuli, new experiences. Dramaturgy is then the network of stimuli from which this thinking emerges.

Kapitola Rozhovory se zaměřuje na tvůrčí proces s důrazem na metodu „devising“ (kolektivní autorské tvorby). Text Sodji Zupanc Lotker popisuje divadelní projekty v šíři od současného tance přes činohru až po site specific, audio projekty, performativní parfémy či aukce představení. Ty často započínají tématem, otázkou nebo zkušeností. Dramaturgii v tomto procesu chápe jako dynamický proces, v němž se projekt vyjevuje publiku. Performance je jakési projekční plátno, nabídnuté divákům ke společnému uvažování, nekonečné, neustále přinášející nové podněty, nové zkušenosti. Dramaturgie je pak síť podnětů, z nichž toto přemýšlení vzniká.

In the spring of 2023, Fondation Louis Vuitton will be holding Basquiat x Warhol... Painting 4 hands, the most important exhibition ever devoted to the collaborative work of these two artists. The exhibition will feature more than 100 jointly signed paintings, in addition to individual works by Basquiat and Warhol, and works by other major artists (Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, Kenny Scharf, etc.) in order to recreate the New York downtown art scene of the 1980s.
From 1984 to 1985, Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960–1988) and Andy Warhol (1928–1987) jointly produced about 160 paintings, some of the largest in their respective careers. A genuine artistic dialogue of style and form had developed between them that dealt equally well with crucial issues such as the integration of the African-American community into the narrative of North America, a continent where Warhol was a major manufacturer of icons.

Když zazní tóny kytar tří
Ať už jsem působil dlouhá léta jako pedagog na hudebních školách či přes 40 let hrají se skupinou Stará škola a hostuji v různých hudebních seskupeních, vždy mne fascinovala souhra více muzikantů, kdy každý přináší do díla svůj vlastní přínos, pohled a feeling. To je v podstatě neocenitelná záležitost, protože se tak vytváří prvek celistvosti výrazu z různých osobností a vzniká tak ojedinělé vyznění. Cyklus Když zazní tóny kytar tří... tak představuje skladby Jízda tří králů, Setkání v pátek odpoledne a Než se setmí. První z nich, Jízda tří králů se opírá o vzájemnou podporu jednotlivých partů, kdy se i při sólových vstupech projevuje společná cesta tří králů za nadějí, za obzor. Cesta nemusí probíhat vždy v klidu, ale jsou zde jak náznaky překážek, tak i náhlá uvolnění a konečná radost z dosaženého cíle… Druhá, Setkání v pátek odpoledne přímo rezonuje situaci, kdy se již po pracovním týdnu již v klidu, po napětí sejdou kytaristé (třeba někde pod lipou v parku, na zápraží, ve zkušebně…), jeden z nich nahodí téma a ostatní se připojují svými nápady. Skladba je postavena na ostinátních postupech, které jsou obcházeny harmoniemi základního nápadu. Ve druhé části jsou vrstveny akordické polohy, které také vycházejí z původního motivu, představují další přístup zpracování tématu (jak bývá obvyklé u spolupráce více muzikantů) a vyúsťuje ve finále, kde se všichni sejdou. Třetí skladba cyklu, Než se setmí, evokuje tu tajemnou část dne, kdy slunce se dotýká obzoru, rozsvěcují se světla ulic, domů a aut a celý rytmus se z toho cvalu všedního dne se ještě chvilku drží a rázem se převaluje do hávu noci…
A co takto?
Během své pedagogické praxe na hudebních školách jsem si osvojil jedno pravidlo – žák musí hrát. Jsem přesvědčen, že víte, jak to myslím. Hrát, umět si zahrát, to je základ. Na tom se dá stavět. A další věc, která se mi vždy líbila, je hra vza druh souboru, ať už jakéhokoli složení. Koneckonců, přes 40 let hraní s kapelou po pódiích a studiích nelze ani v tomto segmentu akustické, klasické kytary nijak pominout. A žáci, žáci to přijímali vždy dychtivě. A tady je právě to proč... Proč jsem přistoupil k rozpisu a úpravě vybraných skladeb, které jsou součástí tohoto prvního dílu cyklu ...a co takto? Za prvé jsem vždy chtěl, aby se žáci co nejdříve dostali k těm krásným skladbám Vietorisova kodexu, Nicolause Lebendorfa a dalších. Díky rozpisům skladeb do tří kytar se tak doba, kdy mohl žák přistoupit k interpretaci těchto děl, výrazně zkrátila. Za druhé děti tak dříve viděly další výsledek svého snažení, navíc si procvičily souhru a dostaly se tak dříve k těmto krásným, podnětným skladbám. A skutečnost, že je to za třetí v dalších letech inspirovalo zahrát si tyto věci samy je jenom ten správný bonus… Takže ať už to hrají tři žáci (třeba z různých ročníků), nebo učitel a dva žáci apod. – to je jedno.
Za hradbami tvrze
Jednoduše? Mám rád středověk, mám rád genius loci, když se přijde mezi zdi starých tvrzí, hradů, zřícenin, mám rád tu náladu, která se dostává hudbou do mysli muzikanta, posluchače. Středověk je líčen všemi možnými pohledy, barevně či černobíle, zasmušile podzimně či jásavě jarně, poklidně či bouřlivě, mírně a romanticky či tvrdě a nesmlouvavě realisticky – ale pořád je to doba, ze které pramení moře myšlenek, idejí, nálad, pocitů a obrazů. Cyklus Za hradbami tvrze přináší deset skladeb. V ukázkách jsem zvolil někde více loutnový zvuk, někde více zvuk klasické nylonové kytary a to jen proto, aby více vynikla atmosféra názvu cyklu. Menuet, Intrada či Tanec nanášejí obraz malé slavnosti v kamenných prostorách tvrzí, Zimní pohádka je vhled do tiché nálady zasněžených plání, Loučí svit je předznamenání závěrečné skladby ...často svíce jen plá, která je určitým vyvrcholením cyklu a ukazuje na tmu, prosvícenou světlem naděje. Pod září hvězd a Praporec vidíme zase pohledy z hlásky do noci středověku, Stará tvrz vychází z nálady osamělosti v krajině a Na obzoru se stmívá poukazuje na nebezpečí, které se vkrádá do krajiny…
