Dialóg slovenskej a českej činohry 1918 1992 prináša originálny pohľad a zároveň jeden z možných výkladov dejín činoherného divadla 20. storočia v Československu. Zlomové momenty, vznik divadelných scén, kľúčové kultúrne udalosti, dramaturgické línie a emblematické inscenácie, ale predovšetkým tvorbu významných osobností činohry autorka sleduje v predpokladaných, no tiež nečakaných súvislostiach. Pomenúva, ako sa divadelné kultúry ovplyvňovali a aký významný zástoj malo české divadlo pri vzniku slovenskej divadelnej kultúry po roku 1920. Vienna 1900 Complete
At the turn of the 20th century, Vienna became an epicentre for new thought. A multi-disciplinary environment emerged where music, writing and intellectual thought all flourished, often brought together in the capital's famous coffee houses. This was the time of Freud and Wittgenstein, of Mahler and Schoenberg, and of the Secession (1897-1905), the modern movement led by Klimt, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser that aimed to bring different arts together in a `Gesamtkunstwerk', a total work of art; of Jugendstil, Vienna's Art Nouveau; and of the Wiener Werkstatte, the workshop founded in 1903 by Moser and Hoffmann that revolutionized the decorative and graphic arts.
There have been many exhibitions and publications devoted to this efflorescence, and even more monographs devoted to its key players. None, however, brings together a selection of visual material from across the different artistic disciplines as significant as this current volume, curated and authored by three leading scholars of the period. The book covers all areas of production: painting and drawing; decorative arts and crafts; applied art and book design; fashion, photography and architecture. In each section the illustrations take the lead, creating an invaluable visual reference point for all those eager to identify a given category of the arts within this period, particularly in the field of the decorative arts, from ceramics to glass, silverwork, furniture, jewelry; and graphic arts, from book design to posters and postcards. Jeho šedesátiletá novinářská praxe a půl století soustavného psaní o hudbě budí již léta zasloužený obdiv a respekt. V roku 2007 vydal Divadelný ústav divadelnú hru Kebab v edícii Vreckovky a dnes prichádza s vydaním troch nových divadelných hier Gianiny Cărbunariu, ktorá sa medzičasom naplno etablovala doma i v zahraničí ako divadelná autorka a režisérka. Zborník obsahuje divadelné hry Michaela, tigrica z nášho mesta (Mihaela, tigrul din oraşul nostru), Solitarita (Solitaritate), Work in Progress. Divadelné hry z rumunského originálu preložila Jana Páleníková. Úvod napísala teatrologička Kinga Boros a z maďarského jazyka preložila Renata Deáková.
Pre svoju hru Michaela, tigrica z nášho mesta, ktorá mala premiéru v roku 2012, ako aj pre všetky nasledujúce drámy používa Cărbunariu pomenovanie mockumentary play, čím sa pokúša upozorniť svojich čitateľov a divákov na hravý vzťah skutočnosti a diela. Ide teda o svojho druhu sebareflexívnu dokumentaristiku. Postavy jej hier sa napríklad v javiskových textoch často odvolávajú na výskumy, ktoré boli súčasťou ich tvorivej práce. Mockumentary alebo pseudo-dokumentárny film zobrazuje fiktívne udalosti prostredníctvom dokumentaristických metód. Divadlo Gianiny Cărbunariu práve naopak vychádza zo skutočnej referencie a prezentuje ju, akoby to bola fikcia, aby toto odcudzenie upozornilo diváka ak aj on chce na váhu udalostí tam vonku. Žiadať od tohto divadla vernosť skutočnosti je slepá ulička. Balansuje na hranici skutočnosti a fikcie, ako starosta z hry Solitarita na neviditeľnej hranici medzi hľadiskom a javiskom.
Dokumentaristika Gianiny Cărbunariu spočíva v tom, že k jej inscenáciám sa viaže úžasne hlboký prieskum tém, ktoré ju zamestnávajú, nech už ide o historickú udalosť, alebo o niektorý z aspektov súčasnej spoločenskej skutočnosti. Dokumenty a rozhovory vyhrabané z hlbín archívov, v ktorých sa delia jednotliví adepti o svoje vlastné zážitky a názory, sú však pre jej tvorbu len východiskom. Ich fragmenty sa potom v novej štruktúre, koncentrovanejšie objavia v inscenácii. Je to, akoby nám zmenila ,len` uhol pohľadu, a preto sa znova musíme zamyslieť nad tým, čo sme si mysleli, že vieme.
