Ultraphon: triumf českého gramofonového průmyslu
Publikace Ultraphon: triumf českého gramofonového průmyslu se zabývá historií české gramofonové společnosti Ultraphon, která byla ve 30. a 40. letech 20. století nejúspěšnější tuzemskou firmou podnikající ve zvukovém průmyslu. Od nesnadných počátků zaviněných především hospodářskou krizí v první polovině 30. let se jí podařilo vypracovat až na první místo a stala se vedoucí značkou československého gramofonového průmyslu. Realizovala významné zakázky pro československý rozhlas a nahrávala řadu projevů našich politiků i kulturních osobností, postupně se jí také podařilo získat pro spolupráci většinu předních československých umělců a hudebních souborů. Základem této knihy jsou doposud v úplnosti nepublikované strojopisné Vzpomínky na Ultraphon, které sepsal v letech 1967 – 1970 Jan Valentini, bývalý zakladatel a spolumajitel Ultraphonu. Kniha je rozčleněna do tří částí; první část se váže ke vzniku společnosti Ultraphon a rozvoji jejího podnikání, do druhé části jsme zařadili profily nejvýznačnějších umělců, kteří s Ultraphonem spolupracovali. Třetí, katalogová část je vyhrazena gramofonovým přístrojům a vývoji etiket gramofonových desek, reklamním obalům a variím.
Historie kaplí v Suchých Lazcích
Kniha částečně mapuje původ, odkrývá historii a upřesňuje okolnosti vzniku sucholazeckých kostelů. Dozvíte se detailní informace o průběhu výstavby a následných proměnách jednotlivých objektů. V prvních kapitolách se věnuji nejstarším kaplím a jejich popisu. Přiblížíme si vzhled a historii staré kaple sv. Floriana. Následně poznáme okolnosti vzniku a výstavby kaple sv. Andělů strážných. Podstatnou část publikace bezpochyby tvoří úžasný příběh lidského odhodlání, kdy se podařilo skupině nadšenců navrátit krásný nový vzhled dominantě naší obce. Generální oprava kaple sv. Andělů strážných v roce 2001 byla hlavním podnětem vzniku této knihy. Připomenu zajímavé osobnosti, tradice a patrony kaplí. V závěru čtenáře seznámím s historií hřbitova, kapličky sv. Jana Nepomuckého a zvoničky na Přerovci. Něco málo se dozvíte i o svatých obrázcích a křížích v sucholazeckém katastru.

Témou najnovšej knihy autora sú partizánske a povstalecké obce na Slovensku. V knihe je podrobne spracovaných 36 obcí a ďalších 41 obcí je opísaných v skrátenej forme. Dozviete sa ako prebiehalo SNP v jednotlivých regiónoch Slovenska, aké partizánske skupiny v nich pôsobili a konkrétne osudy jednotlivých obcí a osád počas 2. svetovej vojny a SNP. Mnohé z týchto obcí kruto zasiahli nacistické a gardistické represálie. A második világháború a közelmúlt talán legismertebb történelmi epizódjainak egyike - ha máshonnan nem is, olvasmányaiból vagy filmélményeiből mindenki tud róla valamit. Az események láncolatának, az egyes szereplők motivációinak bonyolult szövedékét azonban csak kevesen látják át igazán, a különböző harcokat és a mögöttük meghúzódó döntéseket feldolgozó szakirodalom elképesztő gazdagsága pedig csak még jobban összezavarja a laikus olvasót.
A neves skót történész, Norman Stone olvasmányos stílusban megírt szintézise ugyanakkor kompakt, jól követhető áttekintést ad a történésekről, a főbb szereplők indítékairól és törekvéseiről, így nagy haszonnal forgathatja bárki, aki szeretne többet megtudni a második világháborúnak az első világháborúban gyökerező okairól, a harcok lefolyásáról és a mindennapjainkat ma is meghatározó jelentőségéről. Slované ve středověku
Kniha německého medievisty Eduarda Mühleho představuje jedinečný pokus o syntetický výklad dějin Slovanů v dlouhé časové perspektivě od 6. do 15. století. Zpracovává téma, jemuž německá historiografie věnuje pozornost přinejmenším dvě staletí. Přesto jde o knihu inovativní. Autor ve svém výkladu vychází nejen z dobových písemných pramenů, ale velká část jeho interpretací je založena na poznatcích archeologických, jež v posledních desetiletích změnily zažité představy.
Mühle ve svém výkladu volí dvojí přístup: na jedné straně se věnuje reálným společenským strukturám Slovanů, počínaje raně slovanskými skupinami obyvatelstva přes první slovanské státní útvary 10.-12. století až po mocensky stabilizovaná království pozdního středověku; na straně druhé na středověké Slovany nahlíží očima jejich sousedů. Nikoli tedy pouze slovanské pojímání sebe sama, jež se v plnosti rozvíjí až ve 12. a 13. století, ale stejně tak i pojímání Slovanů prizmatem sousedů, kteří si byli vědomi vzájemných kulturních odlišností.
V Mühleho knize je tedy slovanský svět barvitě zachycen pohledem arabských, byzantských a latinských středověkých autorů. Jejich uvažování sice mnohdy bylo stereotypní, i přes onu stereotypnost nám ale zanechalo, byť někdy pokřivené, stopy jinak neznámých stránek života Slovanů ve středověku.
Kniha Eduarda Mühleho ale není omezena pouze na samotné dějiny Slovanů mezi 6.-15. stoletím. Její druhou dimenzi představuje zkoumání Slovanů jako kulturního konstruktu, jako nástroje politiky od středověku do 21. století.
