Výstavní a publikační projekt českého kurátora a slovenské kurátorky představuje osm autorů dlouhodobě tvořících v Praze nebo s tímto prostředím bezprostředně spjatých: Ruda Prekopa, Vasila Stanka, Tona Stana, Martina Štrbu, Mira Švolíka, Kamila Vargu, Petra Župníka a tragicky zesnulého Jana Pavlíka. Skupina „slovenských fotografů žijících v Čechách“ nebo „českých fotografů slovenského původu“ je jakýmsi společným kulturním statkem obou států a zajímavým fenoménem při zkoumání vztahů mezi českou a slovenskou fotografií. Katedra fotografie pražské Akademie múzických umění byla v sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech jedinou vysokou školou s výukou fotografie ve střední Evropě. Je překvapivé, že generace Slovenské nové vlny zůstala prakticky nekontaminovaná tradicí české fotografie a na půdě pražské FAMU vyrostla jako osobitý solitér. Přesto, nebo možná právě proto, že nešlo o organizovanou skupinu s vytyčeným programem, jejich poměrně jednotný vizuální jazyk představoval jeden z prvních projevů fotografické postmoderny u nás. Cílem kurátorů bylo prozkoumat fenomén Slovenské nové vlny a jeho východiska s časovým odstupem téměř tří desetiletí. Osobitý důraz kladou kurátoři na díla, která nebyla ve své době představena vůbec nebo jen okrajově.
