Rukověť urbanismu volně navazuje na předchozí knihu Jana Jehlíka Obec a sídlo, o krajině, urbanismu a architektuře, souboru textů s různou formou a různými tématy. Monotowns
A photographic exploration of the Soviet monotowns (urban settlements erected around single industries in the hinterlands of the former USSR) - some thriving, others struggling to survive, still others partially abandoned. Through 9 chapters with over 130 photographs taken by Russian photographer Alexander Veryovkin, Monotowns captures the post-industrial landscapes and Soviet era architecture of the monogorods, extending from the Arctic Circle to the Russian Far East, such as Vorkuta, Norilsk, Mirny, Kirovsk, Tolyatti, Cherepovets, Magnitogorsk, Monchegorsk and Nikel, and the daily lives of their inhabitants. Includes informative texts providing a valuable insight into the urban development of the featured cities and a foreword by the architectural historian Konstantin Budarin.
Soviet Playgrounds
A photographic survey of Soviet-era playgrounds found in former members of the USSR, such as Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Through five chapters containing more than 150 photographs, the book documents the mass-produced, yet diverse play equipment installed in the communal spaces of socialist-era housing estates, such as rocket slides and earth-shaped climbers, spaceships and animal-themed ladders, cosmic roundabouts and bizarre objects that would probably raise safety concerns nowadays.
From Riga to Dushanbe and all the way from Kyiv to Vladivostok, children dreamt of becoming cosmonauts, and enjoyed the many space-themed playscapes which had proliferated since the onset of the Cold War era. While some are still in use, others are slowly disappearing to make way for modern equipment, or, more recently, being destroyed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, becoming only a faint memory of a Soviet childhood.
Includes a foreword by the Ukrainian urban planner Mykola Gorokhov and informative maps of the playgrounds featured in every chapter. Pictures were taken by Zupagrafika, with contributions by local photographers.

Publikace Za mistry křehké krásy vychází při příležitosti Mezinárodního roku skla 2022 a navazuje na knihu Po stopách českých sklářů, kterou vydalo nakladatelství Grada v roce 2019. Zamýšlenou trilogií turistických cest do manufaktur tohoto sklářského řemesla uzavře svazek Po stopách moravských a slovenských sklářů, na jehož rukopisu Ivan Černý průběžně pracuje.
Kamila Ženatá
Dílo Kamily Ženaté nelze přiřadit k žádným skupinovým trendům tuzemské výtvarné scény posledních dekád. Autorka patří ke generaci umělců, která, slovy kunsthistoričky Mileny Slavické, „byla jakoby zasypána pískem“. Její hluboce solitérní a zároveň vysoce komunikativní umělecká výpověď je hodnotná nejen bohatstvím suverénně zvládnutých výrazových faset (grafika, malba, video art, site-specific, instalace), ale především komplexním lidským a duchovním poselstvím. Svou tvorbou Kamila Ženatá usiluje o poznání hlubin přírody i lidské duše, a v ještě hlubším plánu o poznání podstaty Bytí. Inspirována taoismem, psychoanalýzou, kvantovou fyzikou i psychedelickými prožitky zkoumá možnosti vyjádření nevyjádřitelného. Monografie zahrnuje výběr z autorčiny tvorby od roku 1972 do roku 2022, od začátků na Akademii výtvarných umění přes řadu unikátních autorských projektů (např. Nauč se stát na jedné noze, 2. patro, Ženský dvůr, Horizont událostí) až po dnešek. Vývoj díla mapuje bilanční rozhovor, který s Kamilou Ženatou vedl básník Milan Ohnisko. Reprodukce kreseb, grafik, instalací a maleb jsou řazeny v časovém sledu a doplněny fotografiemi z autorčina osobního archivu i úryvky z textů reflektujících její tvorbu. Malíř Viktor Pivovarov v předmluvě píše: „Její nejnovější obrazy působí, jako by nebyly dílem lidské ruky, ale vzniky samy od sebe, spontánně. Kamila osvobodila malířský jazyk, aby sám mluvil, dala barvě možnost žít svým životem. Ustoupila jako autorka, stala se prostředníkem, jímž prochází energie a významy, které Kamilu přesahují.“
Josef Sudek-Otto Rothmayer: Návštěva u pana kouzelníka
Kniha Josef Sudek / Otto Rothmayer: Návštěva u pana kouzelníka vychází ze stejnojmenné výstavy konané v roce 2021 a 2022 ke 125. výročí narození Josefa Sudka a 55. výročí úmrtí architekta Otto Rothmayera v Uměleckoprůmyslovém museu v Praze. Publikace čtenáře zavede jednak na Pražský hrad – společnou lásku obou přátel – a jednak do architektovy vily a její nevelké zahrady v břevnovské ulici Na Bateriích, jež se ve čtyřicátých až šedesátých letech 20. století staly místem setkávání skupiny spřízněných umělců a přátel. Útočiště v neklidné době a inspiraci pro svou tvorbu tu nacházeli například i Josef Kaplický, Bedřich Stefan, Hana Wichterlová, Vladimír Studený, Pravoslav Rada či René Roubíček. Josef Sudek zde pořídil celou řadu fotografií, které pak řadil do několika cyklů, například do sérií Procházka po kouzelné zahrádce, Vzpomínky, Malé vzpomínky či Poznámky. Velký soubor Sudkových prací – kontaktní kopie a fotografické pigmenty – doplňují tzv. puřidla a veteše, na jejichž originální adjustaci se Sudkem spolupracoval právě Otto Rothmayer a jež jsou dnes ceněny jako nejprogresivnější příspěvek světové fotografii. V ukázkách kniha připomíná též práce samotného hostitele i společných přátel ze sbírek Uměleckoprůmyslového musea v Praze, Muzea hlavního mšsta Prahy, Národního technického muzea v Praze, Muzea umění Olomouc a soukromého majetku.

Tato publikace je výstupem projektu terénního výzkumu historických tkanin, uložených ve sbírkách brněnské diecéze. Úvodní statě se věnují jednak charakteristice zkoumaného materiálu a jeho zasazení do evropského kontextu, jednak obecné historii liturgického oděvu, jeho specifikům a jeho významu dříve i nyní.
Katalogová část této knihy představuje průřez vzorovanými luxusními tkaninami z 17. a 18. století z farních sbírek brněnské diecéze. Prezentace jednotlivých rekonstrukcí vzoru tkanin, v kontextu s částečným technologickým popisem, nechává vyniknout proměnám textilního dekoru v návaznosti na technologii výroby.
Ze 17. století se ve sbírkách dochovaly mimořádně cenné asijské a italské vzorované samety. Jádro dochovaných parament z 18. století tvoří zejména produkce z dílen francouzských a italských, dochovaly se však i látky z oblasti jihovýchodní Asie.

Japan's engagement with Western clothing, culture, and art in the mid-nineteenth century transformed the traditional kimono and began a cross-cultural sartorial dialogue that continues to this day. This publication explores the kimono's fascinating modern history and its notable influence on Western fashion. Initially signaling the wearer's social position, marital status, age, and wealth, older kimono designs gave way to the demands of modernized and
democratized twentieth-century lifestyles as well as the preferences of the emancipated "new woman." Conversely, inspiration from the kimono's silhouette liberated Western designers such as Paul Poiret and Madeline Vionnet from traditional European tailoring. Juxtaposing never-before-published Japanese textiles from the John C. Weber Collection with Western couture, this book places the kimono on the stage of global fashion history.
