Divadelný ústav v spolupráci so Stanicou Žilina-Záriečie pripravili netradičnú výstavu venovanú významnému 20. výročiu založenia multifunkčného nezávislého priestoru Stanica Žilina-Záriečie. Kurátor Marek Godovič zostavil spolu s Marekom Adamovom výstavu s názvom 20 rokov cesty do Stanice, ktorý zachytáva míľniky a časové obdobia, ktoré formovali priestor staničného domčeka. Výstava je netradičná svojou formou, nakoľko vyzerá ako stolový kalendár.

Koncepcia knihy a výber textov Martina Porubjaka: Martina Ulmanová
Martin Porubjak písal veľa, veľmi dobre a o širokom okruhu tém. Z jeho textov by sa dala zostaviť kniha politických komentárov a glos, kniha osobných spomienok na zaujímavých ľudí, s ktorými sa priatelil a spolupracoval, kniha cestopisných čŕt – a samozrejme kniha, a nie jedna, o divadle. Tomu sa, azda okrem relatívne krátkeho obdobia, keď ho naplno pohltil svet praktickej politiky, venoval neprestajne po celý svoj neobyčajne produktívny profesijný život – ako dramaturg, režisér, prekladateľ, pedagóg, ale aj ako teoretik a divadelný kritik.
Divadelné predstavenie vnímal najmä ako fenomén, ktorý odzrkadľuje, komentuje, kritizuje stav spoločnosti, ktorá ho zrodila, stav konkrétnej doby a sveta, ktorý ho obklopuje. Jednoducho, aj vo vzťahu k divadlu bol plnokrvný homo politicus.
Štruktúra knihy vyrastá z tém, ktoré sa prirodzene vynárali, keď sme sa preberali mimoriadne rozsiahlym archívom autorových textov (pripojený bibliografický zoznam obsahuje viac ako 1500 položiek a napriek úsiliu zostavovateľky aj bibliografky pravdepodobne stále nie je úplný). Pritom sme dávali prednosť takým štúdiám a článkom, ktoré divadlo vnímajú v spojitosti so spoločenským a politickým dianím. V knihe sa tak vedľa seba objavujú rôzne žánre, od anekdotickej glosy cez fejtón, reportáž až po obsiahlu teatrologickú analýzu.
Nazdávame sa, že by z nej najmä generácia nastupujúcich divadelných kritikov a teoretikov mohla načerpať konkrétnu inšpiráciu, ako písať tak, aby čítanie o divadle nebolo iba pracovnou nevyhnutnosťou pre úzky okruh divadelných profesionálov, ale stalo sa vyhľadávaným potešením aj pre tých ostatných. Pre všetkých, obdarených „iba“ záujmom o divadelné umenie a intelektuálnou zvedavosťou.

Cerith Wyn Evans is one of today's most respected and acclaimed sculptors. Born in Wales and educated through his first language of Welsgh, his work reflects his fascination with literature, film, music, and philosophy. Evans is an artist interested in language and how this can be perceived in spatial terms.
Originally an experimental filmmaker, in the 1990s Evans started creating sculptures and installations defined by poetic conceptualism and elegant aesthetic forms. Often made of neon light, his pieces subtly disrupt existing systems of communication, either through the subversion and alteration of given spatial forms or by adopting a communal rather than a singular, authoritarian voice.

Habura - Maľovane selo
Zjednocujúcou ideou obrazovej publikácie je vzdanie holdu slovenskej sochárke s rusínskymi koreňmi Olene Mandičovej – Šinály. Až táto kniha vo svojej úvodnej časti komplexne oživuje dielo i púť tejto zabudnutej osobnosti, na ktorú sme už dávno mali byť hrdí. Sedm světel architektury
John Ruskin byl jedním z nejvlivnějších myslitelů 19. století. V širším povědomí figuruje především jako podporovatel Williama Turnera a prerafaelitů, případně jako neúspěšný manžel, jehož selhání nepřestalo budit voyeurskou zvědavost.
Nás však bude zajímat coby vynikající umělecký kritik a autor provokativních estetických i společensko-ekonomických teorií, jehož vizi morální a sociální obnovy světa prostřednictvím umění, architektury a designu převzali a rozvíjeli zastánci velmi rozmanitých názorových pozic. Ironií osudu se na něj odvolávali nejen kritikové kapitalismu a milovníci gotické architektury, ale také avantgardisté odmítající tradici a přesvědčení o převaze nového nad zděděným. Avšak Ruskin byl kulturní pesimista a antimodernista, který už v polovině 19. století tušil, že perspektivy nabízené technickým pokrokem nemusí být nutně zárukou lepšího a šťastnějšího života.

Publikace formou fotografické dokumentace a podrobného komentáře zpřístupňuje nejvýznamnější ukázky funkcionalistické typografie ze soukromé sbírky pedagoga UMPRUM Karla Císaře. Autor tím navazuje na podobně koncipované předešlé monografie Zdeňka Primuse či Johna Vloemanse. Oproti nim se však soustřeďuje výhradně na funkcionalistickou typografii přelomu dvacátých a třicátých let 20. století, od slavného Rossmannova sborníku Fronta přes Teigovy architektonické publikace, Sutnarovy výstavní katalogy a Tschinkelovy didaktické příručky, až po méně známé soukromé tisky Antonína Jera. V katalogu pak zohledňuje především jejich – pro funkcionalismus charakteristické – spojení abstraktních forem s fotografiemi nové věcnosti, které měly vést k vytvoření „nového druhu obrazového písma“. Záměrem publikace není pouze prezentovat izolované knižní obálky, ale také srovnat grafické řešení souborů a sledovat užívání prázdného prostoru, redukci geometrických prvků, použití obrazové statistiky a fotomontážních postupů na obálkách. Člověk člověku: Karel Koch a Dušan Jurkovič
Snahou publikace Člověk člověku je přiblížit čtenáři profesní a přátelské protnutí lékaře Karla Kocha (1890–1981) a architekta Dušana Jurkoviče (1868–1947), které vyústilo ve společnou realizaci Kochova sanatoria s unikátní zahradou v Bratislavě. Název knihy Člověk člověku odkazuje na ústřední motiv Kochova myšlení: nejvyšším posláním člověka je lidskost, která má být naplňována v bezpodmínečně lidském jednání a službě druhému člověku. Úsloví připomínají Goethova slova, na něž se Karel Koch ve svých textech opakovaně odvolává: „Sám považuji za možné, že lidskost konečně zvítězí, jen se obávám, že pak bude svět velikánským lazaretem, v němž bude člověk člověku lidským ošetřovatelem!“ Jinými slovy, než si lidstvo uvědomí smysl této nejvyšší hodnoty, napáchané škody mohou být nedozírné. V tento moment pak bude lidskost jediným lékem. Toho byli Karel Koch i Dušan Jurkovič svědky i aktivními aktéry během obou světových válek i doby poválečné. Toho jsme svědky také v současnosti. Tento projekt vznikl v rámci výzkumného projektu Průmysl a umění: Opomíjené regionální osobnosti podnikatelů coby hybatelů hospodářského pokroku Československa, jejich význam a spolupráce s umělci, architekty a designéry (reg. č. projektu DG20P02OVV011), financovaného z Programu na podporu aplikovaného výzkumu a experimentálního vývoje národní a kulturní identity na léta 2016–2022 (NAKI II) Ministerstva kultury České republiky.

In 1929, the sculptor, inventor and researcher Paul Schatz (1898-1971) discovered the geometric form of the oloid. Schatz' lifework was characterized by this fundamentally new body, which emerged from movement, for which he sought and found new and pioneering applications for a number of decades.
