Vlado Urban vo svojej knihe žiada iných choreografov, aby vyjadrili svoj názor, svoj pohľad, čo de facto znamená, že rešpektuje, toleruje a vníma aj iné pohľady na umeleckú tvorbu, ako svoj vlastný. A to by podľa mňa malo byť základom akéhokoľvek umenia – úcta, pokora a tolerancia k práci iných, pretože neexistuje jediná správna definícia umeleckej tvorby. V tom je táto práca krásna.

Anna Atkins
The English illustrator Anna Atkins (1799-1871) was in every respect a modern woman. For the publication of her plant collections she used the latest technology, the recently invented cyanotype. In 1843 she used the process to create the first photo book in history, with images of breathtaking beauty and originality which often look like modern art.
At first Anna Atkins worked for and with her father, the zoologist John George Children; later she chose the objects for her scientific compositions herself: algae and ferns. Atkins placed them on light-sensitive paper that turned dark blue in water after being developed, with the exception of the places that had been covered by the plants. Initially alone, and then with her friend Anne Dixon, she produced well over 10,000 copies of her photograms and assembled them in several books like albums. Today these rare copies are regarded as treasures and are preserved in museums and libraries.

Florine Stettheimer
This first full biography confirms Florine Stettheimer as one of the 20th century's most significant, progressive artists whose work remains highly relevant today. Stettheimer was a feminist, multi-media artist who painted several sexually explicit, political, identity-issue-based works and documented New York City's growth as the centre of cultural life, finance, and entertainment between the World Wars.
During her first 40 years in Europe, Florine Stettheimer studied academic painting and was aware of all the earliest modernist styles prior to most American artists. Kniha Umění z NDR. Dědictví na obtíž? je vůbec první publikací v českém jazyce, která se zabývá výtvarným uměním někdejší Německé demokratické republiky. Ačkoli existence tohoto státu trvala jen čtyři desetiletí, jeho výtvarné dědictví vstoupilo do zcela nové etapy po znovusjednocení Německa. Editor Matěj Forejt (nar. 1993) proto publikaci nesestavil jako přehled uzavřených dějin, ale zaměřil se naopak na témata a příběhy překračující geografické i časové hranice. Přibližuje je prostřednictvím dvanácti textů celkem čtrnácti autorů a autorek. Proč po znovusjednocení Německa v roce 1990 vypukl dlouhotrvající spor o tvorbu umělců z bývalé NDR? Koho v 70. a 80. letech na Západě zajímalo umění z východního Německa a komu bylo trnem v oku? Co se dělo na ilegální galerijní scéně východního Německa? Jak malíře Gerharda Richtera ovlivnilo studium v NDR? Kde je v současném německém malířství ukrytý odkaz socialistického realismu? Odpovědi na tyto a další otázky jsou nejen vhledem do poválečné (východo)německé kultury, ale mohou sloužit i jako inspirace při přemýšlení o umění z ostatních zemí bývalého východního bloku.

Publikace dovršuje čtyřdílný ediční projekt zaměřený na tvorbu skladatele Josefa Brentnera (16891742). Jádro svazku tvoří kritická edice sbírky chrámových árií Hymnodia divina vydané jako opus 3 v Praze roku 1719 a tvořící pozoruhodný pandán k Brentnerově první sbírce árií z roku 1716. Svazek dále obsahuje árii a tři sólová moteta zkomponovaná později a známá pouze z rukopisných pramenů. Skladby představují cenný materiál pro zkoumání hudební tvořivosti v barokních Čechách, umožňují sledovat skladatelův tvůrčí vývoj a odrážejí rovněž jeho reakci na proměnu hudebního paradigmatu v druhé a třetí dekádě 18. století. Zároveň se jedná o kvalitní a invenční kompozice, které budily pozornost ve své době a mají potenciál oslovovat hudebníky a posluchače i dnes. Obsahuje předmluvu, notový text, kritickou zprávu, ediční aparát a překlady zpěvních textů.
