Téma vizuálního antijudaismu nenávisti vůči Židům založené na náboženské odlišnosti a antisemitismu nenávistných obsahů postavených především na národnostním vymezování představuje nedílnou součást místních dějin: dějin náboženské, národnostní a rasové intolerance. Ta mohla pramenit z církevních doktrín, feudálních nařízení a později národnostních požadavků i obecné potřeby nalézt viníka prakticky jakýchkoli společenských problémů.
