Troufalá libozvučnost rekonstruuje různá pojetí vzdálenosti trojzvuků, s nimiž se můžeme setkat v harmonickém myšlení 19. století, ale která se již dnes do dědictví hudební teorie nezařazují. Poznáme-li tato alternativní pojetí, nakolik se promění naše představa o tom, jak posluchači v 19. století chápali harmonické vztahy, jaké strategie tehdy využívali skladatelé a jak se rozhodovali, když se snažili své posluchače přilákat a formovat? Jaký podíl mají tato alternativní pojetí, strategie a rozhodování z nich vyplývající, na vytříbeném charismatu, jež na nás dosud u mnoha kompozic tohoto období tak silně působí? Teoretici 19. století, pro něž byla harmonie hlavním předmětem bádání, tyto otázky částečně zodpověděli. Výtvarnú dráhu Daniela Szalaia (1964) sleduje galéria od jeho nástupu v 90. rokoch 20. storočia. Jeho diela predstavila na dvoch výstavách. Prvýkrát prezentovala pastely zo série Hebrejskej abecedy (1999) a druhýkrát výber z kresieb a diel „transplant artu“ – prác na röntgenových snímkach (2014). V rámci tejto originálnej autorskej techniky, od roku 2002 vznikajú objekty a inštalácie so silným existenciálnym nábojom – ktoré sú utkané z pásov röntgenových snímkov. Nedávna retrospektíva (2024) načrtla výtvarnú dráhu autora od študentských čias, po jeho aktuálne obdobie – vo svojej žánrovej rozmanitosti. Dostali v nej priestor práce z oblasti textilu, maľby, kresby, objekty a inštalácie z „transplant artu“ – či novšie koláže s ekologickou témou. Katalóg výstavy predstavuje svojrázny profil výtvarníka-pedagóga, ktorý odráža symbiózu jeho profesionálnej a výtvarnej dráhy.

The pioneer of performance art and her class
With the first appointment of the outstanding performance artist Marina Abramovic to the Pina Bausch Professorship at the Folkwang University of the Arts, the focus in the 202323 academic year was placed on transdisciplinarity, artistic daring and social awareness.
The project supervised by Abramovic, entitled "Free Interdisciplinary Performance Laboratory (FIPL)", was realised in a class put together by her, in which she brought together over 20 students from the fields of music (classical and jazz, instrumental, vocal and composition), dance, design, photography, (physical) theatre and directing. The students developed individual or collective concepts for performances and learnt how to develop a longterm performative work form in an experiencebased process. In a workshop entitled "Cleaning the House", which was organised according to a method developed by Marina Abramovic, the students developed a sense of the presence required in performances, including the exploration of their individual physical and mental limits.

This fascinating collection of outdoors covers, drawn from the Outdoor Recreation Archive at Utah State University and spanning one hundred years, features seventy iconic outfits including Columbia, The North Face and Snow Peak. Together, they make up a stunning visual sequence that traverses generations, sports, styles and continents, and holds something for creatives of all persuasions.
The images, from grainy climbing photographs to homely illustrations of happy campers and cinematic landscapes, are organized artfully by medium - from nature (outdoors photography) to processed (treated photography), remixed (collage) to lines (illustration), object (product photography) to words (typography).
