Dílo Petra Písaříka je spojeno především s přechodem od postmoderny osmdesátých let k nejisté situaci a jiné citlivosti poloviny devadesátých let minulého století. Spolu s dalšími členy skupiny Pondělí autor ustavoval nejen novou představu o roli umělce v období přechodu od normalizačního socialismu ke křehkému a iluzornímu liberálnímu společenskému konsenzu, ale také možnost exponovat s touto transpozicí spojené téma umělecké praxe, tedy jaká je možnost v podmínkách rozvrácených a diskreditovaných diskurzů vrátit do hry intimní (osobní, politickou či sociální) zkušenost se světem prostřednictvím individuálních tvůrčích strategií a obsesí. Jeho tvorba už tehdy měla povahu předem prohraného afirmativního úsilí zaměřeného na absorbování znaků a fantómů společnosti vyrovnávající se se snem o konci dějin, uvádí Marek Pokorný.
The Petr Písařík SPACE MAKER (6 September 2018 25 November 2018) exhibition catalogue offers a representative selection of works by one of those Czech artists who are very hard to pigeonhole. Písařík presents his critical thinking primarily through material, colour, shape and composition. Over a one hundred page publication is full of images and includes also texts by David Korecký, the exhibition curator and Marek Pokorný, an art critic.

Lewis W. Hine’s images of child labor and American working life
Photographer, teacher, and sociologist Lewis W. Hine (1874-1940) shaped our consciousness of American working life in the early 20th century like no other. Combining his training as an educator with his humanist concerns, Hine was one of the earliest photographers to use the camera as a documentary tool, capturing in particular labor conditions, housing, and immigrants arriving on Ellis Island. His images, including those of children in cotton mills, factories, coal mines, and fields, became icons of photographic history that helped to transform labor laws in the United States.
This book brings together a representative collection of Lewis W. Hine’s photography from all periods of his work. This book gathers the covers of Ver Sacrum, the official magazine of the Vienna Secession, which ran from 1898 to 1903. Published for the 120th anniversary of this historic magazine, it reproduces all 120 regular issues--plus some special, limited-edition covers--in 1:1 scale, alongside a selection of block prints, lithographs and copper engravings.
Ver Sacrum (meaning "Sacred Spring" in Latin) was conceived by Gustav Klimt, Max Kurzweil and Ludwig Hevesi. During its six years of activity, 471 original drawings were made specifically for the magazine, along with 55 lithographs and copper engravings and 216 block prints, by artists such as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner, Max Fabiani, Joseph Maria Olbrich and Josef Hoffmann. Writers such as Rainer Maria Rilke, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Maurice Maeterlinck, Knut Hamsun, Otto Julius Bierbaum, Richard Dehmel, Ricarda Huch, Conrad Ferdinand Meyer and Arno Holz were published in its pages.

Mongolia is a project which Frederic Lagrange began in 2001 and has spanned over 15-years, during which he took 12 trips in all four seasons, covering vastly different regions of the country. This book is his visual portrait of Mongolia and her people captured in detail in a genuine, human form through a compilation of landscapes and portraits. The book offers the viewer an intimate look and visual journey into a still largely unknown and intriguing place. The book is intentionally printed in large format, to maximize the impact of the smallest details and the different emotions of everyday life in the countryside and cities.
