Publikácia nadväzuje na monografiu z roku 2001, ale neopakuje diela už predtým reprodukované. Na rozdiel od predchádzajúcej je rozčlenená do deviatich tematických okruhov, ktoré sú uvádzané citáciami autora a celá kniha je aj bilingválna: francúzsko-slovenská. Okrem autorky koncepcie a textu výtvarnej teoretičky Dagmar Kudoláni Srnenskej je spoluautorkou aj dcéra maliara Elise Weiner Kral, ktorá napísala krásnu a dojímavú spomienku na otca.
Zostavovateľka knihy Dagmar Kudoláni Srnenská sa zamerala na menej známe maľby a tak vybrala na reprodukovanie diela nielen z majetku desiatich slovenských galérií, ale vhodne ich doplnila prácami zo súkromných zbierok.
