Poszthumán stratégiák - Transzgresszív etika és esztétika a kortárs testábrázolásban
Győrffy László kötete a poszthumán testképek kortárs képzőművészetben betöltött szerepét vizsgálja nemzetközi és hazai művészek praxisán keresztül. A felvilágosodás utópiáját, a teleologikus gondolkodást tagadó vagy mellőző poszthumán művek az utóbbi években mindinkább a filozófia, az esztétika és a kultúratudományok érdeklődésének homlokterébe kerültek. A poszthumánnak tekintett alkotások elsősorban a transzgresszió, azaz a határsértés aktusa révén artikulálódnak a kortárs művészeti térben: ennek lényeges vonása, hogy a teljes határátlépés lehetetlen, vagyis a jelen kötetben is tárgyalt határsértő művek tulajdonképpen folyamatosan a lehetetlent kísértik. Győrffy interpretációinak másik lényeges kulcsszava az abject, azaz a taszító objektumok filozófiája. A biztonságot jelentő szimbolikus rend áthágása által megkérdőjelezhetővé válik a test egysége és a lélek transzcendenciája, ami új értelmezői hozzáállást követel meg.

Zámky jako z pohádky Kráska a zvíře. Prázdné nemocniční chodby s oloupanou omítkou a čpící dezinfekcí. Mechem porostlé hotely, v nichž svůj řád obnovuje příroda. Prokleté domy, v nichž nechce nikdo žít. Minulost všech těchto budov je často stejně temná jako jejich budoucnost.
Na takováto tajemná místa se teď můžou podívat i čtenáři z bezpečí svého křesla. Stačí otevřít knihu, nechat z ní promlu vit fotografie a začíst se do příběhů tzv. moderních ruin – objektů, které se pomalu propadají do zapomnění.
Milan Munclinger - Texty o hudbě
Z buddhistického hlediska byl Milan Munclinger (1923—1986) osvícený člověk. O jeho schopnostech hudebních je mnohé v předchozích textech. O jeho extrémní pracovitosti a obrovské škále humoru tam mnoho není; pražští „znalci umění“ mají v téhle oblasti poněkud temno.
Ve sklepech Supraphonu a v archivech rozhlasu jsou Munclingerovy snímky, jež by mohly — s trochou dobré vule — vyjít na světlo dne. Texty v této knížce měly by být inspirací pro hudebníky, radostí pro hudební laiky a povzbuzením k iniciativě skutečným odborníkum. Hubert Krejčí

Všechny tyto ženy, průkopnice moderny, se po nástupu nacismu potýkaly s výzvou znovu si v profesním světě vybudovat postavení. Díky své houževnatosti uspěly. Pouze kariéra Otti Berger, kterou v létě 1944 zavraždili nacisté v koncentračním táboře v Osvětimi, byla bohužel velmi krátká.
Publikace Začínat od nuly poprvé mapuje obtížné období, kterým musely tyto avantgardní umělkyně v dobách vzestupu nacismu v Evropě ve třicátých a čtyřicátých letech 20. století procházet. Přesto se nevzdaly. Znovu a znovu v osobním i profesním životě, ve světě, který se rozbil, začínaly od nuly. Jejich dílo, které je v publikaci bohatě dokumentováno, dnes bezpochyby patří k tomu nejvýraznějšímu a nejtrvalejšímu, co v oblasti moderního designu ve 20. století vzniklo.

Arriving in Paris from Ravenna in 1973, Paolo Roversi produced his first series of photographs in 1977, which were immediately picked up by the fashion press. From then on, he devoted himself to fashion photography, working for the greatest designers and for the most prestigious magazines, simultaneously occupying a position both at the heart of the fashion world and far from its ephemeral trends.
Ultimately in search of pure beauty, he formulates timeless and mysterious work, which is defined by his choice of studio and use of large format and Polaroid cameras. At the heart of his photography are his dedicated relationships with fashion designers and models, most famously with Yohji Yamamoto, as well as Romeo Gigli, Rei Kawakubo and Dior, and these fruitful collaborations have allowed Roversi to continuously challenge and renew his practice.
Conceived and designed in close collaboration with the photographer, and drawing on his archives, this book features many original prints, including some that have never been seen before.
