Novela zákona o DPH priniesla mnoho zmien, ktoré budú vstupovať do platnosti postupne, a to odo dňa vyhlásenia až do 1. 1. 2026 (1. 7. 2024, 1. 1. 2025 a od 1. 7. 2025). Medzi najdôležitejšie zmeny patria zmeny v registrácii pre DPH podľa § 4, zmeny v registrácii pre DPH zahraničných osôb podľa § 5, zmeny v mieste dodania služieb podľa § 16 ods. 3, zmeny pri oneskorenej registrácii a odpočte dane pri registrácii podľa § 55, samozdanenie pri dovoze tovaru podľa § 84a, zníženie limitu pre možnosť vystaviť zjednodušenú faktúru z 1 000, resp. 1 600 eur na 400 eur, úpravu limitu pri žiadosti o zrušenie registrácie, kde sa po novom nesmie presiahnuť v predchádzajúcom kalendárnom roku suma 50 000 eur, zavedenie definície malého podniku, ktorá má zjednodušiť dodávky do členských štátov EÚ, úpravu vymedzenia lehoty pri oprave odpočítanej dane pri záväzkoch po splatnosti, a to z „uplynulo 100 dní“ na „nastal 101. deň“. Všetky zmeny ovplyvnia celú podnikateľskú spoločnosť.
