Právo na Hedvábné cestě
Po Hedvábné cestě proudily po celá staletí do Číny evropské komodity jako sklo, objevy v geometrii či astronomii, ale také křesťanství nebo právní učení. Z Číny se k nám dostávalo samozřejmě hedvábí, ale i jejich skvělé vynálezy: papír, střelný prach, kompas, papírové peníze nebo třeba nudle. Leckdy přišly z Číny také choroby, které dokázaly Evropu paralyzovat.
Kniha právníka a sinologa Michala Tomáška není jen o vzájemném působení právních kultur, ale i duchovních a vědeckých hodnot. Prostřednictvím Hedvábné cesty byla čínská společnost ovlivněna buddhismem, ale také islámem. Číňané na suchozemské Hedvábné cestě působili na Tibet, Střední Asii nebo Mongoly, po námořní trase Hedvábné cesty se později do Číny dostávali Evropané. Hudebníkem u čs. kavalerie v Rusku
Publikace Hudebníkem u čs. kavalerie v Rusku se skládá z pěti částí a přináší osobité svědectví o slavném období působení československých legionářů v Rusku. Nejdůležitější částí jsou poměrně netradiční paměti Aloise Semeráda. Nezaměřují se na většinou probíraná témata, jakými v legionářských vzpomínkách bývají bojové operace či vnitropolitická situace v rámci československého vojska. Důraz je, vzhledem k autorovu angažmá u plukovní hudby 1. čs. jízdního pluku, kladen na hudební produkci, kterou byli legionáři v Rusku doslova proslulí. Sám Alois Semerád přitom vykonával významnou funkci zástupce kapelníka plukovní hudby, a tak se stal aktérem takřka veškerých významných událostí, kterých se jeho hudební těleso v bouřlivých letech 1918 až 1920 účastnilo od pořizování nástrojů přes koncerty až po bojový střet během napadení bolševickým oddílem. Samotné paměti byly doplněny několika krátkými kapitolami o souvisejících tématech souhrnně o československé legii v Rusu, dějinách 1. čs. jízdního pluku, legionářských hudebních tělesech a v neposlední řadě o dalším životě samotného autora pamětí Aloise Semeráda.

Vojenští zpravodajci proti nacistické okupaci
Odbojové skupiny stavěné na bývalých příslušnících vojenského zpravodajství tvořily v roce 1939 důležitou část rodící se protinacistické rezistence. Z celého spektra skupin zabývajících se na území protektorátu informační činností se určitým způsobem vymyká odbojová buňka zpravodajských důstojníků Františka Fárka, Antonína Longy a Aloise Čáslavky. Pod krycím jménem Tři konšelé (Konšelé) se ve své práci nabídli přímo exilovému zpravodajskému ústředí a po oživení komunikačních kanálů začali pracovat zcela v intencích jedné z nejvýraznějších osobností našeho vojenského zpravodajství plukovníka a pozdějšího generála Františka Moravce. Předložená publikace čtenáře seznamuje nejen s činností této odbojové skupiny, ale v obecné rovině také přispívá k prohloubení poznatků o počátcích vojenského odboje v prvním válečném roce 1939.

Kniha nazvaná podle posledních slov Rudolfa Slánského před popravou detailně a poutavě pojednává o politických motivech a způsobech přípravy politických procesů v padesátých letech, věnuje se se zejména procesu s tzv. protistátním spikleneckým centrem v čele s R. Slánským. Díky možnostem přístupu do archivů KSČ se stal autor jedním z nemnoha historiků přesně obeznámených s temným pozadím politiky KSČ v prvních poúnorových letech a jeho knihy patří stále k zásadním pramenům.

Home Made Russia presents a unique picture of a critical period of transition, as the Soviet regime crumbled, but was yet to be replaced with a new system. Each of these objects is a window, not only into the life of its creator, but also the situation of the country at this time. Shortages in stores were commonplace, while wages might be paid in goods, or simply not paid at all. These exceptional circumstances lent themselves to a singular type of ingenuity, respectfully documented in intimate detail by Vladimir Arkhipov.
