Básnická zbierka Charlesa Baudelaira Kvety zla prvýkrát vychádza v slovenskom jazyku vo svojej celistvosti v skvelom preklade Jána Švantnera. V čase svojho vzniku vyvolala spoločenské pohoršenie pre otvorenosť zobrazenia pozdvihujúcej i zničujúcej lásky v celej jej mnohorakosti, ale najmä pre otvorenosť zobrazenia zla, ktoré básnik vnímal ako všadeprítomné. Z veršov vyviera napätie medzi jeho vnútorným svetom a okolitou realitou, cítiť v nich úľak zo života aj údiv z jeho krásy. Krásu však nevníma podľa tradičných kritérií, čím predbieha svoju dobu. Krása je preňho rovnako zlovestná a zničujúca ako blahodarná a podnecujúca, môže byť ohyzdná, a za každých okolností je bizarná. Podľa Baudelaira je krása nielen estetický, ale aj etický fenomén. Kvety zla sú tak akousi anatómiou ľudského sveta v materiálnom i morálnom zmysle. Baudelaire v nich anticipoval mnohé javy, ktoré sa neskôr stali predmetom skúmania literatúry a filozofie. Vďaka tomu je základným kameňom modernej poézie a stal sa predchodcom a inšpirátorom moderného cítenia a myslenia, ako ho poznáme z diel najvýznamnejších autorov 20. storočia aj súčasnosti. Vydanie dopĺňajú ilustrácie Andreja Dúbravského.
Fetrengek parázna szabadon
Faludy György (1910-2006), a Villon-balladák átköltője hosszú pályafutása során folyamatosan, egészen a kétezres évekig fordított magyarra verseket. Jelen kiadvány az átültetett vallási és istenes költeményeit tartalmazza 1938-tól. Faludy a villoniádák sikere után, kiadói megkeresésre fordult először a téma felé. A világháború kirobbanása előtti helyzetben a versek aktualitását érezte és emelte ki szerzőivel kapcsolatban: "Nevüket a laikus nagyrészt nem is tudja már; itt-ott olyan népek énekeire bukkanunk, melyek elvesztek az idők homályában. De az, amit vallottak - mélységes hit, felebaráti szeretet, emberiesség, a szegényekkel való együttérzés - ma is megdönthetetlenül áll. E himnuszokat még az irodalomtörténet is jobbára elfeledte; de most, hogy az olvasó fellapozza őket, éreznie kell: mindezekből semmi sem múlott el."

Ted Hughes bol anglický básnik, jeden z najlepších zo svojej generácie. Základné východisko tohto výberu tvoria jeho Listy k narodeninám (Birthday Letters), adresované Sylvii Plathovej, americkej poetke, s ktorou ho spájalo nielen sedemročné manželstvo, ale tiež dcéra Frieda a syn Nicholas. Zbierka sa okamžite po vydaní stala bestsellerom, bola ovenčená rešpektovanými cenami, ako napr. T. S. Eliot Prize či Forward Prize for Poetry, a mnohí kritici ju považujú za vrchol autorovho diela. V tom istom roku, keď vyšli Birthday Letters, vyšla aj bibliofília Teda Hughesa Kvílenie a šepot (Howls & Whispers), rovnako adresovaná Sylvii Plathovej, možno ju čítať ako súčasť väčšieho projektu Listov k narodeninám. Má podobný tón, hlas, symboly a metafory, tiež zahŕňa spovedný režim, ale je ešte intímnejšia. Napokon je do slovenského výberu zahrnutý ešte jeden básnický text, ktorý sa volá Posledný list (Last Letter) a hovorí o posledných dvoch dňoch a noci, počas ktorej Plathová zomrela. Výber zostavil a preložil Peter Trizna. Doslov napísal Ján Gavura.
