Bob Dylan
A six-decade survey of Dylan's work in painting, drawing and sculpture
Spanning six decades, Retrospectrum showcases the development and range of Bob Dylan's (born 1941) visual art in an array of mediums. His diverse creations include works made in oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink, pastel, charcoal and sculpture in iron. Among the artworks presented in Retrospectrum are some of Dylan's earliest ink sketches, first published in 1973's Writings and Drawings, which illustrated and compiled Dylan's lyrics up to that date. These are shown alongside 2021's Mondo Scripto series, in which Dylan revisited some of his most renowned lyrics, hand-lettering and illustrating them. Born in Helsinki among the Swedish-speaking Finnish minority, Jansson was brought up with a love for making art and stories in a supportive artistic family. Her first illustrated tales were published when she was fourteen years old. From a year later until 1953, she drew humorous and political cartoons as well as striking front covers for the satirical magazine Garm, responding to the Second World War and its aftermath as she developed from art student to painter and muralist, bohemian and lesbian. This book also explores the emergence of her Moomin world, appearing in her first children's book in 1945 and then in newspaper strips. These would lead to her being headhunted by the London Evening News, the world's biggest-selling evening paper, to write and draw a daily Moomin newspaper cartoon. This body of work is one of her great achievements, expanding her stories, settings and cast and invigorating her drawing and writing. Jansson also wrote many novels, documented here along with personal commentaries from her own writings.

Kniha Jany Dudkovej Zmena bez zmeny. Podoby slovenskej televíznej hranej tvorby 1990 – 1993 je prvou publikáciou, ktorá sa systematicky venuje vývoju ponovembrovej televíznej tvorby na Slovensku. Doterajšie výskumy slovenského filmu sa skoro výlučne venovali výskumu kinematografie, televíznej tvorbe sa venoval napríklad Ivan Stadtrucker, avšak len do roku 1989 kedy sa podľa neho oslabuje kultúrotvorná funkcia televízie. Monografia Zmena bez zmeny dokazuje opak a vyvracia mýty o zániku či úpadku televíznej tvorby po roku 1989, prítomné napríklad i v Dejinách slovenskej kinematografie od Václava Maceka a Jeleny Paštékovej. Robí tak na príklade výskumu až 270 hraných diel, ktoré vznikli v období 1990 – 1993 a to so špeciálnym fokusom na obraz spoločenskej zmeny a reflexiu (Nežnej) revolúcie.

Zborník Iluzívne a antiiluzívne vo filme tvorí súbor príspevkov z 18. ročníka česko-slovenskej filmologickej konferencie, ktorá sa uskutočnila v dňoch 12. až 15. októbra 2017 v Krpáčove. Hlavná téma filmologickej konferencie reaguje na tradičnú problematiku realizmu, zobrazovania reality vo filme. Na jednej strane ide o iluzívne, mimetické chápanie filmu a umenia, pri ktorom prevažuje tendencia generovať a recipovať umelecké dielo ako svet. Na strane druhej môžeme hovoriť o antiiluzívnom, antimimetickom prístupe, v tomto prípade prevažuje tendencia chápať umelecké dielo ako hru. Príspevky v zborníku sa venujú rôznym historickým a teoreticko-estetickým témam fikčnosti, realistickosti, parametrom rôznych iluzívnych a antiiluzívnych tendencií v dejinách kinematografie. Do zborníka sú zaradené aj texty z osobitného panelu Ústavu divadelnej a filmovej vedy SAV na konferencii, ktorého hlavnou témou sa stali premeny cenzúry v československej kinematografii.

V Česku, podobně jako v ostatních evropských zemích, stoupají požadavky na kvalitu veřejných prostranství a uličních prostorů. Uplatňování zón setkávání (sdílených prostorů) může být v řadě případů optimální reakcí na požadavky aplikace principů trvale udržitelné mobility a podpory pěší dopravy. Zóna setkávání (sdílený prostor) je urbanisticko-dopravní koncept založený na využívání prostoru ulice či veřejného prostranství všemi módy funkčního využití a dopravy. Jejich zavádění má za cíl především návrat k původnímu vnímání ulice jako prostoru pro veřejný život obyvatel, nikoli jako prvku dopravní infrastruktury. Pomáhá vytvářet podmínky pro vyváženost společenské, ekonomické, pobytové i dopravní funkce uličního prostoru. Úspěšné příklady ze zahraničí dokazují, že realizací zón setkávání dochází ke snížení rychlosti a zklidnění motorové dopravy, zvýšení bezpečnosti všech uživatelů prostoru, zvýšení efektivity využití uličního prostoru, zvýšení úrovně socializace a komunitní aktivity, zvýšení atraktivity ulice jako veřejného prostranství, zlepšení životního prostředí, oživení parteru a k podpoře lokální ekonomiky. Přestože přínosy zón setkávání (sdílených prostorů) jsou v praxi ověřené mnoha úspěšnými zahraničními realizacemi, v českém prostředí dosud neexistují. Umožněním jejich systematické realizace ve vhodných lokalitách může dojít ke zvýšení bezpečnosti provozu, podpoře udržitelné městské mobility a zvýšení kvality života obyvatel měst a obcí. Tato publikace přináší komplexní pohled na problematiku zón setkávání (sdílených prostorů), jejich urbanistický i dopravně-inženýrský kontext. Obsahuje výsledky rozsáhlé rešerše právních norem, technických norem a příkladů dobré praxe ve vybraných evropských zemích, popis situace v Česku i shrnutí zásad navrhování a projektování zón setkávání (sdílených prostorů).

Kapela Arakain je na naší hudební scéně úctyhodných čtyřicet let. Začínala v undergroundu, postupně se propracovala mezi českou heavymetalovou elitu a nakonec se stala legendou. Ačkoli prošla mnoha peripetiemi, všechny nepřízně osudu přestála – i díky svým věrným fanouškům.
