Autor publikácie Martin Palúch prináša alternatívny pohľad na dejiny slovenského filmu z perspektívy vývoja strihovej formy dokumentárneho žánru z obdobia rokov 1938 – 2025. Okrem historickej línie, sleduje aj teoretickú reflexiu kompilačného filmu (j. Leyda), ale len v kontexte príkladov zo slovenskej kinematografie. Všíma si propagandistický potenciál diel. 'What is it about David Lynch's cinematic bag of tricks - his shots of shadows and flickering electricity, his sinister soundscapes and his heartfelt scores, his dreamlike irrational stories - that affects us so deeply?
