Paula Modersohn-Becker: A Life in Art

Paula Modersohn-Becker is today hailed as one of the great pioneers of modernism. When she died in 1907 at the age of just 31, she had completed more than 700 paintings and 1,000 drawings and prints. Jozef Porubčin sa narodil v roku 1950 v Malých Ledniciach. Po absolvovaní Základnej školy v Domaniži a Ľudovej školy umenia v Považskej Bystrici bol prijatý na Strednú školu umeleckého priemyslu v Bratislave. Po maturite bol prijatý na Vysokú školu výtvarných umení v Bratislave, na ktorej študoval súčasne dva odbory – reštaurovanie umeleckých a historických pamiatok (profesor K. Veselý) a monumentálnu maľbu (profesor O. Dubay a F. Gajdoš). Štúdium na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení v Bratislave ukončil v roku 1975. Žije a tvorí v Bratislave.
