Združenie fotografov amatérov YMCA a Fotoskupiny KSTL Bratislava
Založenie a aktivity Združenia fotografov amatérov YMCA (Youn Menss Christian Association) a Fotoskupiny KSTL Bratislava (Klub slovenských lyžiarov a turistov) sa viažu najmä na obdobie 30. 40. rokov 20. storočia. Reprezentujú tvorivý potenciál slovenských fotoamatérov v medzivojnovom období prvej Československej republiky, ale aj inštitúcií Svazu československých fotografov amatérov v Prahe, medzinárodnej organizácie YMCA (YMCA Slovensko) a národnej organizácie Klubu slovenských turistov a lyžiarov. Z hľadiska vývoja a histórie slovenskej fotografie opisuje publikácia dôležité obdobie konštituovania organizačnej štruktúry hnutia fotoamatérov zakladanie prvých fotoklubov v rámci Československa, kryštalizáciu hnutia v rámci Slovenska, realizáciu výstav, mapových okruhov, kurzov, tvorivých výletov, participácií na medzinárodných súťažiach, výstavách a iných aktivitách súvisiacich s organizovanou činnosťou fotoamatérov. Knižná publikácia dokumentuje cez príbeh inštitúcií aj príbehy jednotlivcov osobností, ktoré vychovalo prostredie amatérskej fotografie. Mená ako Miloš Dohnány, Viliam Malík, Ladislav Kožehuba, František Král, Jaroslav Horák, sú fenoménom Československej amatérskej fotografie 30. rokov, zároveň svojimi progresívnymi názormi v rámci fotografickej tvorby prekročili hranice amatérskej fotografie. Súčasná história slovenskej fotografie ich zaradila medzi významných autorov dejín slovenskej fotografie.

Monografia Dagmar Inštitorisovej Čítanie v mysli režiséra (Romana Poláka) je analyticko-interpretačným pohľadom do divadelnej, televíznej, filmovej a rozhlasovej tvorby, pedagogickej činnosti, teoretického myslenia o divadle a občianskych postojov jedného z najvýznamnejších slovenských divadelných režisérov, veľmi oceňovanom doma i v zahraničí (Krištáľové krídlo, Dosky, Cena Nadácie Tatrabanky za umenie, Cena Akadémie divadelných tvorcov, Cena The Guardian Critics Choise Edinburgh a i.).
Mnohé z Polákových divadelných činoherných inscenácií či už v Slovenskom komornom divadle Martin, Divadle ASTORKA Korzo´90 alebo v Slovenskom národnom divadle Bratislava patria do zlatého fondu slovenskej divadelnej kultúry a stali sa kultovými ako martinský Baal (1989) či Dotyky a spojenia (1988) a astokársky Les (1997).
Hlavnou tematickou líniou monografie je odkrývanie kompozičných postupov, prostredníctvom ktorých R. Polák vytvára mizanscény (kapitoly: Réžia ako res contextum, Réžia ako mizanscéna, Réžia ako res ideum, Francúzska dramatická klasika, Ruská prozaická a dramatická klasika, Diskurz rodiny, Slovenská prozaická a dramatická klasika Réžia ako res politicum, Televízna, filmová a rozhlasová tvorba a Réžia ako res scholarum.)
Niektoré z podkapitol sa zaoberajú aj jeho scenáristickou a divadelno-dramatickou tvorbou, inscenáciami v amatérskom divadle, spoluprácou s dramatikom Karolom Horákom a filmovým herectvom.

Jako pedagog působil na VŠUP v Praze a na Technické univerzitě v Liberci. Je známý především jako autor nové Poštovny na Sněžce nebo Majáku a muzea Járy Cimrmana v Jizerských horách. Věnuje se experimentální architektuře a vztahu architektury k přírodě a k lidské společnosti.
Martin Rajniš o knize Skutečně mám dobrou paměť a už řadu let mě připadalo potřebný podělit se o příběhy, který jsem za posledních 70 let zažil. Dílo se jmenuje 25 344 dnů vzpomínek, což vystihuje 71 let mého života, během něhož jsem toho zažil skutečně hodně dětství ve staré Praze s nejrůznějšími výchovnými experimenty svého otce, časy chudoby a vzdoru proti bolševikovi, byl jsem dvanáctkrát v kriminále. Strávil jsem čtyři roky na moři, přeplul na malé lodi s jednou krásnou holkou Atlantik. Projezdil jsem stovky tisíc kilometrů po pouštích, divočinách, pralesech, projel jsem horní toky Amazonky, byl jsem v nejzapadlejších koutech Nové Guiney. Ale zároveň jsem řídil jako architekt velké ateliéry a rukama mi prošlo ve stavebních nákladech skoro 14 miliard korun. Zažil jsem Paříž coby bezdomovec i jako nositel světové ceny za architekturu
Spolupráce s Magdou (Křížkovou) Šebestovou Magdu jsem poznal koncem sedmdesátých let, když jsme v době třeskutýho bolševizmu dělali pavilon na výstavu do Kanady já jako mladej architekt a ona jako hosteska. Pamatoval jsem si ji ještě z doby, kdy jako malá holka zpívala s Jiřím Suchým v Semaforu. Potom jsme se dlouhý roky neviděli a až při rozhovoru pro Xantypu kterej se mnou přišla udělat,jsem si uvědomil, jak se umí ptát, jak se umí bezvadně tvářit a hlavně jak skvěle umí psát tak jsem jí nabídl, že bychom spolu mohli zkusit to moje vzpomínání napsat a ona, zaplať pánbůh, kývla...

Italská opera v mozartovské Praze
Kniha je věnována jednomu z klíčových období dějin pražského divadla, vrcholným rokům zdejší italské opery (1781-1785), které významně ovlivnily světově proslulou tvorbu a recepci děl W. A. Mozarta.
