A nagybányai művésztelep
Az idén 125 éves művésztelep történetét és jelentős alkotóinak életművét tárgyalja a könyv, amely a 19-20.századi magyar művészet legfontosabb művészettörténeti forrásmunkái közé tartozik.
Réti István: A Nagybányai művésztelep című kötetének jubileumi kiadását a művésztelep létrejöttének 125.évfordulójára 2021-ben a Magyar Művészeti Akadémia támogatta.
Réti István A NAGYBÁNYAI MŰVÉSZTELEP Réti István könyve, A nagybányai művésztelep, a 19–20. századi magyar művészet egyik legjelentősebb szellemi, szemléleti, stiláris mozgalmának a történetét tárgyalja s résztvevőinek alakját, munkásságát mutatja be, a korszak legfontosabb művészettörténeti forrásmunkái közé tartozik. Szerzőjét, aki maga is a nagybányai festőkolónia első, alapító nemzedékének tagja, az eseményeknek nem csak résztvevője, hanem egyik megindítója is volt, műveltsége, széles látóköre, a történelem és művészettörténet iránti fogékonysága, s nem utolsósorban írói vénája a mozgalom krónikásának, s mintegy teoretikusának szerepére predesztinálta.
A könyv csak Réti halála után kilenc évvel, 1954-ben jelent meg a Képzőművészeti Alap Kiadóvállalatánál. Az akkori politikai, művészetpolitikai viszonyok között azonban csak kompromisszumokkal kerülhetett kiadásra: kimaradt a kéziratból minden olyan szövegrész, utalás, ami a két világháború és a közbülső időszak történelmi eseményeinek tárgyalásában, vagy Réti művészete az, esztétikai felfogásában, vagy a nagybányai életkörülményekről szóló leírásai között nemkívánatosnak, közölhetetlennek találtatott.
Réti István művét ebben a kiadásban teljes szövegével, hiánytalanul élvezheti az olvasó. A szerző kéziratát, a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria Adattárában őrzött gépiratot forrásértékű szövegként kezeltük, hogy a modern magyar művészet történetének ezt a nélkülözhetetlen forrásmunkáját a maga teljességében bocsássuk a szakemberek és a közönség rendelkezésére. Parangole is an annual, independent journal that challenges ideas on urbanization, design and architecture by initiating a global dialogue on topics such as mobility, migration, fluidity and multiplicity. Promlouvají k nám vířivé dynamické lineární shluky, v nichž se prorytými linkami odkrývají spodní vrstvy, a žádný z obrazů není prvoplánově a jednoznačně uchopitelný. Egon Schiele
The monograph on Egon Schiele edited by Rudolf Leopold in 1972 forms the basis for Egon Schiele's world fame. This important document of art-historical literature has long been out of print, but it is now available once more in a revised edition with an updated catalogue raisonne. At the same time this magnificent volume provides an insight into the artist's life through letters, sketches and documents.
Rudolf Leopold recognised back in the 1950s Schiele's outstanding significance for art. He was largely responsible for ensuring that the artist received the place he deserved in art history and public awareness. The monograph presented Schiele's paintings, watercolours and drawings chronologically in large-format colour plates. It is complemented by a profound examination of his motifs, studies, sketches and documents and provides a comprehensive overview. The current edition pays tribute to Leopold's achievement and the revised catalogue raisonne reflects the current state of research.

Frida Kahlo, Paintings
Among the few women artists who have transcended art history, none had a meteoric rise quite like Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (1907-1954). Her unmistakable face, depicted in over fifty extraordinary self-portraits, has been admired by generations; along with hundreds of photographs taken by notable artists such as Edward Weston, Manuel and Lola Alvarez Bravo, Nickolas Muray, and Martin Munkacsi, they made Frida Kahlo an iconic image of 20th century art.
After an accident in her early youth, Frida became a painter of her own free will. Henri Cartier-Bresson: Paris Revisited
Henri Cartier-Bresson was 'the eye of the 20th century' and one of the world's most acclaimed photographers. Paris was his home, on and off, for most of his life (1908-2004). The photographs he took of the city and its people manage to be both dreamlike and free of affectation.
Here are around 160 photographs taken over a more than fifty-year career. Mostly in black and white, this selection reveals the strong influence on Cartier-Bresson of pioneering documentary photographer Eugene Atget (1857-1927), and the clear visual links with Surrealism that infused Cartier-Bresson's early pictures. After an apprenticeship with Cubist painter Andre Lhote, in 1932 Cartier-Bresson bought his first Leica, a small portable camera that allowed him to capture movement and the rhythms of daily life in Paris. Cartier-Bresson observed from close quarters the Liberation in August 1944 and the civil disturbances of May 1968. In between he also succeeded in capturing the faces of Parisians in their natural habitat, celebrated artists and writers and citizens alike. Ever-attentive to different ways of portraying the city around him, Cartier-Bresson returned to drawing during the last two decades of his life.
This collection is not only a superb portrait of Paris in the 20th century, it is testament to Cartier-Bresson's skill as a supreme observer of human life.
