Katalog vycházející ke stejnojmenné letní výstavě Musea Kampa. Výstava představuje dámské šaty z převážně šedesátých let, které bez nadsázky započaly módní revoluci. Ikonické kousky od návrhářů jako Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint-Laurent a mnoho dalších jsou doplněny a konfrontovány uměleckými díly ze sbírky Musea Kampa. Móda je plná rozporů. Zahaluje i odhaluje. Vyvolává emoce, ale také vytváří bariéry. Patří jí povrch, avšak naznačuje hloubku. Dokáže být rebelská, ovšem přiklání se ke konformitě. Je líbivá, ale rovněž zneklidňující. Neustále se proměňuje, přitom směřuje k nadčasovosti. Vytrhává nás z davu, ale svádí k uniformitě. Překvapuje, jakož i uklidňuje a míří k jasně vymezenému stylu. Bere se až příliš vážně, přesto bývá nečekaně hravá. Je povrchní až prázdná, nicméně zároveň obsahující významy. Umění naproti tomu rozporné být nemá – spojuje se s jednoznačnou hloubkou a nadčasovou hodnotou. Móda je paradoxní fenomén ze své podstaty. Nikdy není pouze funkční a užitková, přesahuje společenskou nutnost, která člověku přikazuje se oblékat. Její povrchnost a triviálnost jsou šalebné – vždy odráží posedlosti i ideály doby, ve které vznikala. Módní artefakty jsou příkladnými objekty touhy. Byly jimi už v době svého vzniku, proto se nám také zachovaly, proto nás fascinují dodnes. Můžeme je obdivovat, ale též analyzovat, ukotvovat v kontextu, zbavovat původního kouzla, nebo trikem naopak umocňovat. Není divu, že se módní artefakty staly muzejními objekty. Můžeme je obdivovat jako stopy zaniklé kultury, ale je možné v nich nacházet něco, co historičnost přesahuje, co k nám hovoří z jiné doby. Móda je tématem nás všech, i když si to třeba nechceme přiznat. Módní exponáty byly zapůjčeny ze sbírky Alexandre Vassiljev Foundation z Kaunasu v Litvě, jedné z nejvýznamnějších soukromých sbírek módy na světě s více než půl milionem šatů, bot a rozmanitých doplňků.

The Nansen Photographs
In the late 19th century, the Norwegian Artic explorer Fridtjof Nansen undertook a pioneering expedition: he wanted to reach the North Pole with the specially designed ship Fram. The Nansen Photographs recounts this expedition, from the launch in 1890 through to the end of Nansen’s international lecture tour in 1897, using original photographs alongside personal diary entries from Nansen and seven of his crew members. Together, they illustrate in a poignant and sometimes disconcerting way how the expedition members went about their daily lives and conducted their research, the conflicts they faced, and how they ultimately brought their daring undertaking to its successful conclusion.
This book brings new life to previously known facts and introduces the reader to hundreds of previously unknown photographs from the expedition. The large format of the book brings the smaller details in the photographs to the forefront, providing new insight into the work and life on board, the equipment and the clothing.
Opposing diary entries from Nansen and the men about the same situations show that life on board was not always easy and tell a gripping story of survival and the human condition. Nansen’s lack of empathy and practical skills caused frustration among the men, and several of them resorted to fists to sort out their differences, but nonetheless they all pulled through and set a new standard for arctic expeditions to come.
When Nansen leaves the ship for his legendary 18 month journey with Hjalmar Johansen towards the North Pole, we follow both Nansen and Johansen and the crew left on board through their photographs and diaries. The return to Norway and the spectacular celebration is told in detail through photographs, newspaper reports, speeches, menus and ephemera.

Život mimořádně nadaného skladatele a klavíristy Gideona Kleina (1919–1945) byl násilně ukončen v pětadvaceti letech. Jeden z nesporných vrcholů jeho nevelkého odkazu tvoří Sonáta pro klavír. Její tři věty byly napsány v opačném pořadí v terezínském koncentračním táboře v roce 1943, ze zamýšlené čtvrté věty se dochoval jen třítaktový náčrtek.
První urtextové vydání Sonáty je rozšířeno o dosud nepublikovaný stručný melodram Krajina pro recitátora a klavír, který Klein napsal v červenci 1939 (v dosavadní literatuře uváděn jako Topol). Jedná se o zhudebnění stejnojmenné básně Viléma Závady (1905–1982) ve stylu volné atonality. Melodram je v češtině s uvedením německého a anglického překladu básně.

První měsíce Dvořákova pobytu v Americe se nesly ve znamení inspirace a tvůrčí erupce. Vznikla trojice děl s charakteristickým „americkým“ tónem – Symfonie e moll op. 95, Smyčcový kvartet F dur op. 96 a Smyčcový kvintet Es dur op. 97. Sám skladatel se o nich vyjádřil: „… vím, že tyto skladby nikdy bych tak nenapsal, kdybych byl Ameriku neuviděl!“
Svůj dvanáctý smyčcový kvartet, přezdívaný „Americký“, napsal Dvořák během letního prázdninového pobytu ve Spillville v Iowě za pouhých dvanáct červnových dní roku 1893. Kvartet se stal pro svou muzikantskou bezprostřednost, chytlavá témata a formální čistotu zdaleka nejhranějším skladatelovým smyčcovým kvartetem a jedním z nejpopulárnějších Dvořákových děl vůbec.
Tiskem vyšla skladba v roce 1894 u Simrocka v Berlíně, korektury četl Johannes Brahms, tiskové předlohy se ale nezachovaly. Editor předkládaného vydání pracoval s autografní partiturou a prvním tiskem partitury a hlasů. Podle dnešního úzu upouští toto vydání od užití houslového klíče ve violoncellovém partu o oktávu výš a nahrazuje jej klíčem tenorovým.
