Proměny maskulinit
Kniha Proměny maskulinit je trans-žánrovou antologií propojující pestrou mozaiku přístupů a cest k tématu maskulinit na osobní, umělecké, filozofické i vědecké rovině. Společně tak tvoříme podoby nových maskulinit. Skrze čtyřicet čtyři příspěvků se v knize setkáváme s množstvím úhlů pohledu a přístupů k tématu mužství - od vědeckých textů, rozhovorů, osobních esejů, přes autorské texty a básně až po umělecké příspěvky jako jsou kresby, fotografie nebo koláže. V úvodní části se čtenářstvo setkává s texty zaměřenými více teoreticky, aby načerpalo pojmový aparát. Ve druhé části se posouváme do osobní roviny, kde lze maskulinitu vnímat prostřednictvím jejího individuálního prožívání. V následující části knihy se zaměřujeme na prožívání maskulinit ve vztazích a v další kapitole se věnujeme žité zkušenosti rodičovství a maskulinitám v rámci otcovských a mateřských rolí. V následující části se seznamujeme s maskulinitou jako spektrem a v poslední kapitole se věnujeme maskulinitám posvátným, abychom prozkoumali i božské aspekty nitra. Israel
Unmistakably diverse—this is how Israel can be described in a few words. The north of the country stretches from the Mediterranean coast to the Golan Heights. There the river Jordan, the Sea of Galilee and places like Nazareth and Capernaum are the destinations of many Christian travelers. The port city and high-tech metropolis of Haifa and even more so Tel Aviv show how much the young state of Israel, founded in 1948, is shaped by the immigrants who come to the country from many parts of the world. Tel Aviv's founders, for example, dreamed of a New York on the Mediterranean. Today, Tel Aviv-Yafo is perhaps not quite as big, but it is as colorful and diverse as the melting pot on the east coast of the USA. And you can taste this variety in Israeli cuisine, by the way.
Israel's south, where the desert comes alive, also offers a great variety: a diver's paradise in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea, impressive nature parks and great historical sites from ancient times such as the rock fortress Masada, heroically defended against Roman troops, or the settlement of Qumran, where more than 850 scrolls from ancient Judaism have been found.

Nowhere else in the world are Judaism, Christianity and Islam closer to each other—geographically at least. Whoever experiences the Wailing Wall, the interior of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre or the Dome of the Rock, gets an idea of what has moved people for thousands of years.

Hiroshige & Eisen. The Sixty-Nine Stations along the Kisokaido
The Kisokaido route through Japan was ordained in the early 1600s by the country’s then-ruler Tokugawa Ieyasu, who decreed that staging posts be installed along the length of the arduous passage between Edo (present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto. Inns, shops, and restaurants were established to provide sustenance and lodging to weary travelers. In 1835, renowned woodblock print artist Keisai Eisen was commissioned to create a series of works to chart the Kisokaido journey.
After producing 24 prints, Eisen was replaced by Utagawa Hiroshige, who completed the series of 70 prints in 1838. Both Eisen and Hiroshige were master print practitioners. In The Sixty-Nine Stations along the Kisokaido, we find the artists’ distinct styles as much as their shared expertise.
From the busy starting post of Nihonbashi to the castle town of Iwamurata, Eisen opts for a more muted palette but excels in figuration, particularly of glamorous women, and relishes snapshots of activity along the route, from shoeing a horse to winnowing rice. Hiroshige demonstrates his mastery of landscape with grandiose and evocative scenes, whether it’s the peaceful banks of the Ota River, the forbidding Wada Pass, or a moonlit ascent between Yawata and Mochizuki. Taken as a whole, The Sixty-Nine Stations collection represents not only a masterpiece of woodblock practice, including bold compositions and an experimental use of color, but also a charming tapestry of 19th-century Japan, long before the specter of industrialization.

Sourced from the only-known set of a near-complete run of the first edition of the series, this legendary publication is reproduced in the finest quality, bound in the Japanese tradition and with uncut paper. Guy Debord
Guy Debord, founder of the Situationist International, fomenter of the May 1968 revolt in France, and author of The Society of the Spectacle, was also the creator of six tantalizingly inaccessible films. Technically and aesthetically, these films are among the most brilliantly innovative works in the history of the cinema. But they are not so much “works of art” as carefully calculated subversive provocations.Following the still-unsolved Mafia-style assassination of the films’ financer and producer in 1984, all the films were withdrawn from circulation for nearly twenty years. One of the films is an adaptation of Debord’s book The Society of the Spectacle. Others evoke his adventures in the bohemian underworld of 1950s Paris, which he contrasts with the increasingly ignorant, ugly, and alienated world that has since been produced by modern capitalism. In each case Debord simultaneously attacks the film medium itself, challenging spectators to create their own adventures instead of passively consuming the pseudo-adventures that are presented to them.Ken Knabb’s meticulous translation of all the filmscripts (which Debord’s widow Alice asked him to make to accompany the long-awaited rerelease of the films, beginning with a complete retrospective at the Venice Film Festival) is supplemented with numerous illustrations and documents and elucidated by extensive annotations. For this new edition Knabb has revised the translations, updated the filmography, and added the scathing video that Debord made shortly before his death: Guy Debord, His Art and His Time.

Demjén Ferenc egész munkásságát tette fel arra, hogy művészete által bontsa le a falakat, amik köztünk vannak. A slágerei alapján készült, 2024 telén debütált Hogyan tudnék élni nélküled? című film pedig mindamellett, hogy az előadó eszmeiségét vitte tovább, újabb iskolapéldája lett annak: ha saját hivatásukban kiemelkedő művészek és szakemberek tisztelettel nyúlnak egy ekkora feladathoz, abból egy csoda születhet.
Ez nem jöhetett volna létre többek között Kirády Attila producer, Goda Krisztina és Kormos Anett forgatókönyvírók, Orosz Dénes rendező vagy a főszerepben feltűnő Törőcsik Franciska és Ember Márk nélkül, akiknek az lebegett a szemük előtt, hogy méltóképpen tisztelegjen egy olyan életútnak, ami már több generációban is képes volt nyomot hagyni. Ugyanakkor még ők is csak apró porszemek a gépezetben, hiszen több mint kétszáz főre tehető a film stábja, akik egy emberként dolgoztak azon, hogy elnyerjék a közönség szeretetét.

Dějiny umění jsou uměním
Kolektivní monografie Dějiny umění jsou uměním, kterou k vydání připravila prof. Milena Bartlová, poprvé představuje Václava Viléma Štecha (1885–1974), významnou osobnost českých dějin umění 20. století. Komplexní pohled na jeho aktivity a přínos vytváří zcela jiný obraz originálního historika a teoretika umění, než je vzpomínka na starého muže, který byl koncem šedesátých let prvním a velmi úspěšným českým „televizním kunsthistorikem“ a v letech 1920–1930 pedagogem UMPRUM. A huszadik század a film évszázada volt, a huszonegyedik századra azonban azok a keretek, amiket az elmesélhető történeteknek szán, túl szűkösnek bizonyulnak. A kultúra rohamosan hígul, és csak elvétve akad olyan filmes alkotó, aki képes a mozi nagy nemzedékeinek nívóját ostromolni.
