Publikace se vydává po stopách výtvarného umění v kostelech a modlitebnách Českobratrské církve evangelické, kde obvykle pro silný vliv reformované tradice výtvarná díla příliš neočekáváme, a kde přitom přesto můžeme objevit zajímavé umělecké počiny. Umenie nekúpiš / Art Cannot Be Bought
Milan Tittel (2. 10. 1966, Litomyšl) je popredný slovenský umelec svojej generácie. V povedomí širokej kultúrnej verejnosti to však nie je príliš známe: jeho umelecký prínos bol rozptýlený najmä v skupinových aktivitách. Milan Tittel je totiž kolektívny hráč a svoju tvorbu predstavoval takmer výlučne v spolupráci s inými výtvarníkmi. Až v posledných rokoch sa výrazne odlíšil od ostatných, aj vďaka sústavnej prezentácii na sociálnych sieťach. Milan Tittel sa stal facebookovým umelcom, vo svojej generácii ojedinelým.
Milan Tittel je tiež preformerom a videoumelcom. V poslednom čase najviac pracuje s nájdenými objektmi (môžu to byť aj živé organizmy a ľudské „živé sochy"), prípadne s ich kombináciami. Niektoré diela odkazujú na bizarné neodadaistické zostavy predmetov, ale najzaujímavejšie si pohrávajú s efemérnymi prvkami a hmotami, stelesňujú tak akúsi zenovú meditáciu v materiáli.
Milan Tittel (October 10, 1966, Litomyšl) is one of the most prominent Slovak artists of his generation. However, the general public is not aware of this fact because his artistic talent was diffused, especially within group activities. Milan Tittel is a team player and he presents his work almost exclusively in cooperation with other artists. However, thanks to constant social network exposure, he has recently begun to distinguish himself from others. He has become a facebook artist, a rare accomplishment in his generation.
Tittel is also a performer and video-artist. Recently he has focused on objet trouvé - found objects (including living organisms and human "living statues") and their combinations. Some works refer to bizarre neo-Dadaistic combinations of objects, but the most interesting ones play with ephemeral elements and masses, thus embodying a kind of Zen meditation.

Dramaturgie je činnost na pomezí. Výrok J. Císaře, jednoho ze svých učitelů na DAMU, vzal autor této knihy, dramatik a dramaturg Jan Vedral, doslova.
Na pomezí mezi scénou a literaturou balancuje po celých téměř čtyřicet let svého působení v českém divadle. Tento svazek, první část dvoudílného výběru DRAMAtik a DRAMAturg, obsahuje texty, napsané zpravidla pro potřeby divadelních ansámblů, které je také většinou inscenovaly.
V předmluvě upozorňuje Milan Uhde na to, že Vedral i jako píšící dramaturg je autorem společensky aktivní dramaturgie tématu.
Významné bylo uvedení jeho Urmefista a dramatizace Bulgakovova Mistra a Markétky na konci 80. let, polemiku vyvolali jeho Staří režiséři, dramatizace Kafkova Zámku či Kašpar Hauser Dítě Evropy na počátku nového milénia. Ve svazku je poprvé otištěna svébytná adaptace románu K. Schulze, kterou autor pod názvem Bolest a kámen připravil roku 1997 pro Divadlo na Vinohradech, kde však po zákazu nebyla uvedena.

An unsurpassed monument in the history of scientific illustration
Edward Lear may be best known for his nonsense verse, but in his early years he excelled as an illustrator of birds and reptiles. This set of 42 hand-colored lithographs, originally entitled Illustrations of the Family of Psittacidae, or Parrots, was the finest achievement of his relatively brief career as a natural history draftsman, before failing eyesight led him to concentrate on his writing.
During Lear’s time, live parrots were rare and much sought-after, bought and sold for large sums by wealthy amateurs of natural history, and prized by 19th century European aristocracy for their astonishing plumage and mimickry of the human voice. Naturally, fine drawings of them were also highly prized. One of the first collections entirely dedicated to the species, Parrots includes African, Australian, and American parrots bred by eminent ornithologists such as Sir William Jardine and Prideaux John Selby, who sponsored Lear, inspiring and directing his work.
Unlike other avian illustrators who often worked with stuffed birds, the young and prodigiously talented Lear (1812–1888) made his drawings from live parrots, capturing their expressions and movements in remarkably lifelike illustrations. The new medium of hand-colored lithography facilitated the vivid elegance of Lear’s work.
This exquisite collection was originally reproduced in only 175 precious sets and sold by subscription to Britain’s most eminent scholars and wealthy collectors of living parrots. The Psittacidae established Lear as a celebrated illustrator, and professor of drawing to the young Queen Victoria. Design Solutions for Urban Densification
The world’s metropolises are home to steadily growing populations. Densification measures are one solution to the problems of urbanization, creating inner-city living space where there was none before. The smallest of gaps between buildings is utilized, perimeter block developments are completed, courtyards filled in, houses heightened and smaller structures replaced with larger ones.
This process of densification preserves existing and naturally developed quarters and infrastructure, while protecting against urban sprawl and the development of soulless quarters full of new builds. In some cases, a self-contained element that clearly sets itself apart from the existing built environment is most suitable; in others, the best solution is the re-interpretation and development of the existing context. The architectural approach to each project is as unique as its context.
