Z berlínského diáře
"Max Frisch (1911–1991) švýcarský dramatik a prozaik světového formátu si v určitých etapách života psal také deníky. K nejzajímavějším zejména z dnešního pohledu patří tzv. druhý deník (Deník 1966-1971, vyd. Archa 2014) a tyto v roce 2014 (shodou okolností 25 let po pádu Berlínské zdi) vůbec poprvé zveřejněné deníkové zápisky z let 1973–1974 ze spisovatelova berlínského pobytu. Vedle zmínek o každodenním životě obsahuje esejistické úvahy, náčrty budoucích povídek a zejména charakterizace mnoha spisovatelů z obou stran zdi. V zamyšleních o sobě samém se hledání identity Frischových literárních postav (Stiller, Walter Faber, Gantenbein) posunuje v konkrétní hledání identity vlastní (beletristicky ve stejné době zpracované v Montauku nebo v povídce Člověk se objevuje v holocénu) a v hledání způsobu, jímž člověka formuje místo a prostor, v němž právě žije. Svůj zájem a zvídavost soustřeďuje také na zónu východního Berlína. Popisuje s neobyčejnou vnímavostí svá pozorování tamních vztahů ve spisovatelských a intelektuálních kruzích i život na ulici a snaží se proniknout do politických zákonitostí jemu neznámého světa.
Berlínský diář, který směl být na základě autorovy poslední vůle rozpečetěný až 20 let po jeho smrti, se dnes z hlediska pohledu na lidskou i spisovatelskou osobnost Maxe Frische i z hlediska literárně politické historie stává jedním z jeho nejdůležitějších děl.

Kniha českého teatrologa Jaromíra Kazdy se zabývá privátním i profesním životem dvou významných hereček, matky Jiřiny Stránské a dcery Kláry Jernekové. Jiřina Stránská (19121999) ve svých nejlepších dobách působila v meziválečném avantgardním divadle E. F. Buriana D 3441. Členové Déčka museli umět zpívat a tančit, ovládnout hudebně stylizovanou sborovou recitaci, která se nevyhýbala ani jazzovým inspiracím a zvukomalbě. Po uzavření divadla gestapem roku 1941 přešla Stránská do Městských divadel pražských a provdala se za režiséra Karla Jerneka. Setrvala zde do roku 1949, kdy musela odejít z politických důvodů a kvůli intrikám. V letech 19601974 učila dramatickou výchovu na Lidové škole umění prostředkovala umělecký odkaz E. F. Buriana. Klára Jerneková (19452003) hrála na gymnáziu, v Divadle E. F. Buriana a v letech 19662000 byla členkou Národního divadla. Její herecký rejstřík byl široký. Svým osobitým stylem, uplatňujícím dívčí křehkost a citovou zranitelnost, ale i životní jiskru a smysl pro humor, ztvárnila desítky velkých charakterních rolí i menších postav. Především na divadle ztělesňovala role komické, tragické i dramatické, ale recitovala i v rozhlase, vystupovala ve filmech a televizních seriálech, věnovala se filmovému dabingu. Její dráha, zprvu oslnivá, pak tragická a dosud nevysvětlená předčasná smrt doplňují herecký dvojportrét.

covné motívy, po roku 1950 poznamenané doktrínou socialistického realizmu. Maľovala aj kvetinové zátišia a obľúbené, civilistické i emotívne, detské portréty. Popisný realizmus vystriedala jej vrúcna a rýdza realistická maľba maľba vnútornej sily,
expresie, dynamického rukopisu i pôsobnosti farebných nálad a vôní oravskej krajiny v premenách ročných období. Mária Medvecká sa tak stala jedinečnou maliarkou jej" Oravy. Texty katalógu pripomínajú aj doteraz málo publikované širšie ľudské i malia
