V dvadsiatych rokoch minulého storočia Elsa Grailich napísala knihu o svojich návštevách v prešporských rodinách, kde opísala interiéry a životný štýl mešťanov. Sú medzi nimi známe i dnes už menej známe mená (Dora Helmárová-Wimmerová, Wilhelm Rátz, Hermann Steiner, Wilma Jurenáková, Hugo Stein, gróf Mirbach, Alois Rigele, Karl Martini, Eugen Lehner, Richard Doth, Zoltán Slubek, Rudolf Wicklein, Richard Dax, Ludwig Ramharter, Irma Spányiová, Mina Fuchsová, Franz Testory, Haissingerovci, Paul Radosa, Fritz Winterstein, Alois Rigele, Adalbert Ledofsky). Divadelné hry slávnej slovenskej spisovateľky, ktorých uvedenie - už od osemdesiatych rokov 20. storočia - vždy sprevádzal veľký záujem. Monografia predstavuje jeho život a tvorbu prostredníctvom bohatého fotografického materiálu, prináša informácie o jeho staviteľskej a architektonickej kariére získané predovšetkým zo šanghajských archívov, z archívov University of Victoria v Kanade a z pozostalosti rodiny. Praha Alfonse Muchy
Když se Alfons Mucha procházel v Paříži po bulváru St. Michel, zastavovala se auta a lidé mu tleskali. Jeho ateliér byl na přelomu 19. a 20. století centrem společenského života. Navštěvovaly ho světoznámé osobnosti, Sarah Bernhardtová, Anatole France, Paul Gauguin nebo vynálezci kinematografu bratři Lumiérové. Zvlášť vítaným byl ředitel pařížské hvězdárny, parapsycholog, mystik a esoterik Camille Flammarion, se kterým Mucha alespoň jednou týdně probíral svá oblíbená témata: tajemství mimosmyslového vnímání a podstatu tzv. automatického psaní. Byl bohatý, oceňovaný v Evropě i Americe – a přesto nespokojený. Stále hledal smysl svého uměleckého života. V roce 1910 se vrátil tento tvůrce jedinečného uměleckého stylu do Prahy. Chtěl naplnit svůj sen a sloužit vlasti. Hned po příjezdu byl doslova šokován: téměř celá pražská kulturní veřejnost se postavila proti jeho nabídce podílet se na výzdobě Reprezentačního domu. Jeho jedinečný talent v Čechách překážel. Mucha ovšem prosadil vlastní představu a v Primátorském salonku odevzdal své nejvýznamnější dílo. Jeho umělecký triumf, dvacetidílná Slovanská epopej, se mu stal vítězstvím i prohrou zároveň, když Josef Čapek za všechny žárlivce předpověděl její osud ironickou otázkou: „Kam s ní?“Dnes je Alfons Mucha fenoménem. Tak tomu nebylo ale vždy – jeho okno v katedrále sv. Víta na Pražském hradě naplněné křesťanskou mystikou bylo ohroženo, a dokonce mělo být odstraněno. Naštěstí dnes patří tato vitráž k nejvzácnějším uměleckým pokladům katedrály. V posledním období svého života zažil Mucha v Praze pocty i propady až na dno. Tušil ovšem, že odevzdal dílo, které zůstane zapsáno v dějinách umění.
