Jan Janoušek je český fotograf narozen v roce 1967 ve Valašském Meziříčí, v současnosti žije a pracuje v Praze. V roce 1992 studoval na Pražské fotografické škole u Dr. Ing. Václava Vláška a prof. Jána Šmoka, dále i prof. Jana Schlemmera a ing. Josefa Krůse. Jeho práce vycházejí s klasického pojetí fotografie, zhotovené chemickou cestou a dají se nazvat originální hybridní technikou v černobílé fotografii kombinující neobvyklé chemické procesy s malbou. Kniha o formátu A4 je rozdělena do celků - Příroda, Zvířátka, Plenér a lidé. Jeho fotografie se vyznačují velkými formáty 50x60cm zhotovené výhradně v temné komoře.

Osud tzv. Transgasu, brutalistního areálu na rozhraní pražského Nového Města a Vinohrad, patří k nejdiskutovanějším památkovým kauzám posledních let. V reakci na plánovanou demolici areálu připravil kolektiv renomovaných specialistů ucelenou monografii, která se zabývá významem stavby a historickými souvislostmi jejího vzniku. Na přípravě knihy se vedle historiků architektury podíleli i sami její tvůrci – architekti a technici, jejichž zkušenosti z projektování, vzpomínky na kolegy i nestandardní týmovou spolupráci dávají vědeckému zhodnocení další rozměr živé osobní výpovědi. V souvislosti s přípravou publikace se autorskému kolektivu naskytla jedinečná příležitost zdokumentovat areál před jeho zánikem. Významnou měrou se proto věnuje stavebně historickému rozboru stavby, text doprovází bohatý fotografický materiál, který zachycuje stav budov Transgasu před demolicí. Rozsáhle je v publikaci uplatněna také plánová dokumentace. Vedle toho je součástí knihy i památkové zhodnocení souboru staveb a připomenutí událostí, jež areál provázely od prvního zveřejnění myšlenky demolice v roce 2017 až do jejího uskutečnění na podzim 2019.
Kniha vznikla jako neplánovaný výstup výzkumného projektu NAKI II, který se zaměřuje na dokumentaci a průzkum památkového potenciálu architektury 60. a 70. let 20. století. Ikonológia hlavného a korunovačného oltára v Dóme sv. Martina v Bratislave od G. R. Donnera a jeho objednávateľ Imrich Esterházi.
Súsošie sv. Martina so žobrákom od Georga Raphaela Donnera (1693 – 1741), ktoré tvorilo ústredný výjav rovnomenného oltára v Dóme sv. Martina v Bratislave objednanom prímasom Imrichom Esterházim (1664 – 1745) v roku 1733, patrí k mimoriadne významným dielam prvej polovice 18. storočia.
Hoci sa jeho významu venovalo niekoľko autorov, nikdy nebola vykonaná komplexná ikonologická analýza. Táto publikácia sa zaoberá dvoma kľúčovými oblasťami – ikonologickým výskumom bývalého hlavného oltára sv. Martina so žobrákom z Dómu sv. Martina v Bratislave a na základe praktických výstupov objasnením možností a limitov využitia ikonológie ako metódy na stredoeurópske novoveké umenie.
Niečo o autorke:
Mgr. Katarína Orviská, PhD. je úspešná slovenská historička umenia a vedecká pracovníčka pôsobiaca v Ústave dejín umenia SAV. Svoje vzdelanie získala na popredných univerzitách v Brne a Trnave, pričom počas doktorandského štúdia absolvovala aj významný výskumný pobyt v Rakúskej akadémii vied vo Viedni. Za svoje špičkové výsledky získala v roku 2025 prestížne postdoktorandské štipendium z Podporného fondu Štefana Schwarza.
Vo svojej vedeckej praxi sa špecializuje na stredoeurópske barokové umenie, mecenášstvo a sakrálnu ikonografiu 18. storočia. Popri prísnom akademickom výskume a publikovaní knižných monografií sa aktívne venuje aj popularizácii dejín umenia a obhajobe významu tejto profesie v modernej spoločnosti.

A nagy orr (kis) kultúrtörténetében Caro Verbeek holland művészettörténész a nyugati művészet és kultúra híres orrain vezeti végig az olvasót – Kleopátrától Lady Gagáig, Michelangelótól Warholig. Bár a mai szépségideálok nem mindig ezt sugallják, a múltban a nagy orrot az értelem, a bátorság, a jellem és a státusz jelzőjének tekintették. Jelenleg kurátorként dolgozik a Hágai Művészeti Múzeumban, és részt vesz az ODEUROPA uniós kutatási programban.

Well before Andy Warhol’s rise to the pinnacle of Pop Art, he created and exhibited seductive drawings celebrating male beauty. Andy Warhol Love, Sex, & Desire: Drawings 1950–1962 features over three hundred drawings rendered primarily in ink on paper portraying young men, many of them nude, some sexually charged, and occasionally adorned with whimsical black hearts and delightful embellishments. They lounge or preen, proud of or even bored by their beauty, while the artist sketches them, rapt. They rarely engage with their keen observer, and likewise Warhol’s focus is on their form, their erotic qualities, and unbridled sexuality. If his subjects are content to revel in their attractiveness, so too is Warhol. His confident hand illustrates a multitude of colorful characters, yet also reveals much about this enigmatic artist.Warhol was already a booming commercial illustrator when he exhibited studies from this body of work at the Bodley Gallery on New York’s Upper East Side in 1956. He mistakenly saw these illustrations as his way of breaking into the New York art scene, underestimating the pervading homophobia of the time. ArtMill - Příběh udržitelné kreativity
Aktivity původem kalifornské umělkyně Barbary Benish propojují umění s ochranou životního prostředí, feministický a pečující přístup ke krajině s vytvářením kreativních komunit a společenství a mezinárodní ekologická hnutí či konference se správou jednoho stěžejního místa ležícího na samotě v českém Pošumaví zvaného ArtMill. Na tomto bývalém mlýně založila Benish v roce 2004 eko-kulturní centrum a specifické místo s vlastní hlubokou historií se také stalo centrálním motivem tohoto autobiografického vyprávění.
Faulovaná architektura
Publikace je věnována zákulisí práce sportovního architekta. Vybrané stavby a projekty architekta Miloše Kopřivy, které vznikly v období 1974–2024 jsou na příbězích, které tuto činnost doprovázely, doplněny společnými i samostatnými projekty Hynka Fetterleho. Je v nich vykreslena specifika doby, prostředí a lidské morálky politiků, úředníků, pedagogů i kolegů – architektů. Kniha se věnuje hlavně zákulisí architektonické tvorby, které zůstává běžnému pozorovateli zpravidla skryto. Málokdy se čtenáři naskytne možnost dozvědět se jak, čím a kým byly záměry a projekty ve své době ovlivňovány. Jednotlivé kapitoly popisují prohřešky – fauly na práci architekta od projektování v ústavech za socialismu, přes změnu pozice architektů ve společnosti po roce 1989, kdy se zakládala Komora a Obec architektů až do současnosti. Uváděny jsou sportovní projekty pro velké události, MS v hokeji v Praze 2004, kandidatura Prahy na Letní olympiádu v roce 2016 a mezinárodní konference NSA k českému předsednictví v EU v roce 2022. Kromě velkých témat jsou popisovány i lokální ataky na drobnější architektonické koncepce staveb, jak je zažil osobně jeden z autorů. V závěrečné části Miloš Kopřiva popisuje svou pedagogickou činnost na půdě ČVUT v Praze.
