verejných výstavách sa zúcastnili aj A. Dobošová, M. Haberernová, D. Kocišová, A. Miertušová, P. Manka, A.
Rudavský a D. Valocký. Ich výstavy a tvorba - zamerané na nefiguratívne, abstraktné umenie - predstavujú vo vývine
slovenského výtvarného umenia jeden z najvýznamnejších zlomov k autentickému výtvarnému prejavu. Tým sa clenovia
tohto neformálneho združenia zaradili do širšieho stredoeurópskeho výtvarného pohybu v tomto období.
Cielom publikácie Bratislavské Konfrontácie je priblížit, po 50 rokoch od ich prvej výstavy, dobovú tvorbu výtvarníkov
tohto zoskupenia, ktorí sa neskôr stali významnými predstavitelmi slovenského výtvarného umenia v druhej polovici 20.
storocia. Výtvarné diela, ktoré vytvorili v 60-tych rokoch sú kunsthistoricky vysoko hodnotené a zberatelsky velmi
žiadané.

Women
Each of the extraordinary portraits made by photographer Annie Leibovitz for her book Women stands on its own. Looked at together, these "photographs of people with nothing more in common than that they are women (and living in America at the end of the 20th century), all--well almost all--fully clothed", writes Susan Sontag in the book's preface, form "an anthology of destinies and disabilities and new possibilities." Leibovitz, who in her years working for Rolling Stone, Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines has photographed hundreds of celebrities, turns her lens on a wide range of ordinary and extraordinary female subjects: Coal miners, socialites, first ladies, artists, domestic-violence victims, an astronaut, a surgeon, a maid. Leibovitz demonstrates her own range as a photographer in this body of work, shooting in the studio and natural settings and working in both black-and-white and colour film. She depicts model Jerry Hall wearing a little black dress, a fur coat, and high heels, staring frankly at the viewer from a velvet chair in a plush red parlour while her naked infant son nurses from her exposed right breast. Schoolteacher Lamis Srour's eyes-- the only part of her face visible behind her heavy black veil--illuminate a dark black-and-white portrait. Leibovitz frames actress Elizabeth Taylor and her dog Sugar by their shocks of snow-white hair. She captures four Kilgore College Rangerettes, a drill team, at the apex of their kicks--white-booted legs pointing up, obscuring their faces and revealing the red underpants beneath their blue miniskirts. There are many more wonderful and unexpected images here, over 200 in all. Publikácia je uceleným prehľadom tvorby Tamary Klimovej v kontexte vývinu slovenského a českého výtvarného umenia druhej polovice 20. storočia. Výtvarné dielo Tamary Klimovej patrí k zložitým výpovediam umenia neskorej avantgardy. Napriek tomu, že vnútorná výstavba jej obrazového sveta sa časom čoraz viac prečisťovala (zdanlivou) jasnosťou geometrického poriadku, šírkou výtvarného talentu nespochybnila základy svojho umenia: nerozpojiteľnosť konštruktívneho a fantazijného, farebnej expresie a tvarovej analýzy. Tu zrejme treba spomenúť neveľmi výraznú domácu tradíciu či už ortodoxie kubistickej analýzy, alebo rôznych konštruktivistických ekvivalentov geometrickej abstrakcie, ktoré by sa určujúcim spôsobom podieľali na autonómnosti obrazových foriem a poriadku nového univerza obrazu. Pritom v duchovnej klíme iných krajín strednej Európy bola situácia niekde aj doslova opačná: v Poľsku i Maďarsku. A ruský konštruktivizmus, významným účinkovaním jeho predstaviteľov na Bauhause, určujúcim spôsobom ovplyvnil estetiku medzinárodného konštruktivizmu. Zrejme výrečný príklad nájdeme hneď v prvom medzinárodnému zborníku umeleckej avantgardy, ktorý v redakcii Jaromíra Krejcara roku 1922 v Prahe vydal výtvarný odbor Umělecké besedy s názvom Život s podtitulom Nové umění – konstrukce – soudobá intelektuelní aktivita, kde sú slovami Karla Teigeho programovo pomenované východiská: konštruktivizmus – poetizmus. A vstupnou básňou Jaroslava Seiferta zasa oslovené a oslávené Všechny krásy světa. Sveta „druhej prírody“, civilizácie, kde baletky tančí na plakátech mezi písmeny, kde šedivé aeroplány jako holuby slétli, kde je krásnější to elektrické kvítí na domech, než kvítí na záhonu, kde padající hvězdy se zachytily v železných konstrukcích rozhleden a kde před plátnem kina sníme dnes svůj nejkrásnější sen.1 Ozaj zvláštna tradícia tento konštruktivistický poetizmus či poetický konštruktivizmus. A pre ten optimizmus v „očakávaní“ dejov, ktoré klíčili v lone dvoch totalít dvadsiateho storočia, možno tradícia pre domáce umenie rovno sebazáchovná.
