Výbor analýz, glos a polemik Bohumila Nekolného k tématu provozování a podpory kultury a umění v Česku navazuje na publikaci Divadlo a společnost kolem roku 1989. Zatímco první díl sledoval přelomové období konce osmdesátých a začátku devadesátých let, ve druhém svazku autor shromáždil své úvahy a články z let 1998–2020. A nevyhýbá se značně kritickým glosám k našemu politickému životu ani jeho reflexi.
