Fotograf Karel Ševčík (*1983) pochází z malého moravského města Otrokovice. Přesto zaujal svou fotografickou tvorbou nejen doma, ale i v zahraničí. Během 13 let, po které se fotografování věnuje, již získal několik ocenění a řada jeho fotografií byla publikována i v zahraničních časopisech a webech. Tato kniha je první autorovou monografií, která se snaží představit veřejnosti jeho černobílé portréty, akty a experimenty s fotografickou technikou ICM (Intention Camera Movement).
Výzdoba hudebních rukopisů Jana Táborského z Klokotské Hory
Kniha je zaměřena na výzdobu chorálních rukopisů z 16. století. První část se zabývá osobností písaře Jana Táborského, jenž žil v letech 14991572, a nejvýraznějšími iluminátory, kteří se v průběhu 16. století podíleli na výzdobě zpěvníků české provenience. Pozornost je věnována též grafickým předlohám Martina Schongauera, Albrechta Dürera, Bernarda Salomona nebo domácím melantrišským tiskům, dále ikonografii a ornamentální výzdobě. Druhá část práce je tvořena katalogem hudebních rukopisů, které můžeme z nějakého důvodu spojit s osobností písařského podnikatele Jana Táborského z Klokotské Hory.
Portrétní miniatury ve sbírkách Národního památkového ústavu, územní památkové správy v Českých Budějovicích
Fotograficky bohatě vybavená kniha je výsledkem dlouhodobého výzkumu cca dvou set padesáti malovaných portrétních miniatur, které jsou dnes součástí mobiliáře a obrazových sbírek státních hradů a zámků ve třech krajích – Plzeňském, Jihočeském a na Vysočině (Červená Lhota, Český Krumlov, Hluboká, Horšovský Týn, Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, Jindřichův Hradec, Kladruby, Kozel, Manětín, Náměšť nad Oslavou, Plasy, Rožmberk, Telč a Třeboň). Katalogová část přináší upřesněné a často nově zjištěné informace o kolekci 182 děl. Cílem bylo dosud opomíjené artefakty vzniklé od 16. do počátku 20. století (nejčastěji v letech 1790–1840) popsat, datovat, určit jejich provenienci a autorství, získat či opravit technologická data, pokusit se identifikovat zobrazené osoby, a vřadit tak portréty do společenských souvislostí jejich vzniku a užívání. Voleny byly proto i sofistikované metody průzkumu včetně zkoumání děl pod 3D mikroskopem, v infračerveném a modrém světle či v UV luminiscenci. V mnoha případech tak byla nalezena signatura nebo přípis identifikující portrétované jedince. Při hledání jejich totožnosti bylo nutné studovat genealogie rodin majitelů (zejména pak přivdaných žen) a jejich dalších společenských vazeb. Kniha přináší též mnoho informací o technologii tvorby malířských děl tohoto typu, jejich restaurování i způsobech dlouhodobé ochrany a péče.

Málokto z divákov si asi uvedomuje, čo všetko predchádza tomu, keď si o šiestej večer zapne televíziu JOJ a nechá sa vtiahnuť do osudov jednotlivých postáv. Znie to až neuveriteľne, no v Súdnej sieni sa už vystriedalo takmer päťtisíc účinkujúcich!
