Konfesionálny vývin Uhorska v ranom novoveku
Pre Uhorské kráľovstvo bol raný novovek, no najmä jeho prvé dve desaťročia, osobitne ťažkou epochou. Po tragickej bitke pri Moháči si Osmani vybudovali v krajine vlastnú dŕžavu a z iba nedávno prekvitajúcej stredoeurópskej mocnosti sa stalo bojisko, nárazníkový priestor, stojaci v ceste vojnovej mašinérii islamu. Práve v tomto období sa v Uhorsku udomácnila reformácia, ktorá priniesla mohutný rozvoj školstva, vzdelanosti, myslenia a kultúry. Nasledujúce 17. storočie sa potom nieslo v znamení najprv nesmelej, potom však stále silnejúcej rekatolizácie. Tá po násilných excesoch, krvavých súdoch a galejníkoch pokračovala v poslednej tretine 17. storočia menej násilnými, no účinnými metódami, až sa na sklonku storočia zakonzervovala náboženská tolerancia ako nový fenomén habsburskej, ešte stále absolutistickej politiky.

Habsburgovci a ich monarchia na dlhé stáročia spojili osudy obyvateľov Uhorska, českých krajín, rakúskych krajín, Chorvátska i veľkej časti Poľska. Na teritóriu monarchie vznikla jedinečná viacjazyčná a viackonfesionálna kultúra, ktorá žije dodnes v potomkoch ich vtedajších obyvateľov, v ich mentalite, každodennom správaní i kultúrnom vkuse bez toho, aby sa dokázali dohovoriť spoločným jazykom. Cieľom autorov jednotlivých príspevkov tohto zborníka bolo priblíženie kľúčových udalosti prvých storočí existencie habsburskej monarchie, geopolitického celku, ktorý sa takto v priebehu dejín nikdy nevolal. Společenství živých a mrtvých v barokních Čechách
Náboženská bratrstva představují významnou, ale v současnosti stále ještě poněkud nedoceněnou součást duchovního života doby baroka v katolickém prostředí. Jednalo se o dobrovolná sdružení laiků pod vedením duchovních, která organizovala náboženský život svých členů se zřetelem ke spáse jejich duší. Při tom tvořila spojnici mezi světy živých a zesnulých. Současně však také šlo o instituce s velkým významem pro společenský život své doby. Kniha přináší výsledky autorova dlouhodobého výzkumu této problematiky. Tvoří ji tři části. První seznamuje s podstatou zbožných bratrstev, s jejich vývojem v Českém království od konce středověku do počátku 19. století. Také předkládá sumární pohled na jejich existenci v době baroka, ukazuje, jaká bratrstva v Čechách existovala, kde sídlila, jaké bylo jejich majetkové zázemí apod. Druhou část knihy tvoří katalog 927 konfraternit, která zde existovala v období od Bílé hory do josefínských reforem, kdy byla plošně zrušena. Ke každému bratrstvu jsou uvedeny základní informace o jeho existenci a hlavní prameny. Publikaci uzavírá obrazově bohatě dokumentovaný přehled základních pramenů k náboženským bratrstvům, který zahrnuje různé písemnosti (privilegia, zakládací listiny, matriky členů, členské lístky, účetní materiály), stejně jako hmotné památky barokních konfraternit (kaple, oltáře, sochy, obrazy apod.).
Kniha je určena jak odborníkům, tak i širokému okruhu zájemců o pobělohorskou společnost, o charakter barokní zbožnosti i o církevní dějiny. Poskytuje dosud nepublikované informace o tom, jak se v různých krajích i v jednotlivých obcích Českého království rozvíjel v době baroka náboženský život. Panzerdivision Wiking: Konečný boj 1943 - 1945
V roce 1943 se Německo vzpamatovává z porážky u Stalingradu a v divizi Wiking probíhají velké změny. Odchází prapor finských dobrovolníků a poté i celý pluk Nordland. Felixe Steinera na postu velitele divize nahradí Herbert Otto Gille, bývalý velitel dělostřeleckého pluku. Fini jsou nahrazeni Estonci z praporu Narva, kteří se projeví jako stejně nemilosrdní bojovníci. Dva pěší pluky doplní tankový pluk, avšak po celý rok 1943 a začátek roku 1944 je k dispozici pouze jeho 1. prapor vyzbrojený tanky Panzer IV. V tomto složení prožije divize Wiking těžké ústupové boje na Ukrajině. Na březích Dněpru je posílena útočnou brigádou Wallonie, jež s ní sdílí osud jednotek obklíčených u Čerkas. Následují boje v Polsku a Maďarsku, kde se divize projeví jako skvělý bojový nástroj, ale ani to na zdrcující sovětskou přesilu nestačí a vše směřuje k nevyhnutelné porážce.
