Sakrální stavební projekty vznikající v prostředí Českobratrské církve evangelické, největší protestantské církve v České republice, stojí doposud spíše stranou pozornosti odborné i laické veřejnosti, a to navzdory tomu, že mezi nimi najdeme množství pozoruhodných řešení, která se mohou stát cenným příspěvkem do diskuse o současnosti i budoucnosti církevních budov, stejně jako o aktuálních možnostech liturgického prostoru. Monografie ukazuje, že Českobratrská církev evangelická, obecně považovaná za striktního odpůrce vizuálních zobrazení a estetizace prostoru, disponuje množstvím výrazných architektonických a výtvarných prostorových řešení, která však v mnohých případech zůstávají skryta za zdmi navenek civilně působících staveb. Libor Krejcar (1961–2022) žil a tvořil v Hradci Králové, ve Dvoře Králové nad Labem, v Pardubicích a Heřmanově Městci. Krejcara formovaly vztahy se spolužáky z řezbářské učňovské školy, jako byli Ludvík Hradilek a Pablo de Sax, s umělci Janem Steklíkem a Milanem Langerem či loutkohercem a řezbářem Františkem Vítkem. Úzce propojil hudební a sochařskou tvorbu, zasáhl do oblasti akčního umění a body artu. Zůstával věrný několika tématům a motivům, realizovaným v různých variacích a materiálech (dřevo, sádra, kov). Od počátku osmdesátých let pracoval na cyklu Pantheria, který tvoří precizně vyřezávané, později sádrové sochy kočičích strážkyň, madon a podvratných trofejí.
