Výstava Cítim sa ako… predstavuje diela Lucie Dovičákovej zo zbierky Galérie Nedbalka, ktoré odrážajú nosné témy objavujúce v autorkinej tvorbe od jej študentských čias po súčasnosť, rozdelené do tematických okruhov: Rozprávky o kráse, Žena a iné spotrebiče v domácnosti, Zvery v nás, Moja krv a mlieko a Cítim sa ako... Dovičákovej obrazy dokážu preklenúť priepasť medzi teóriou a každodennou realitou, medzi presvedčenými feministami*tkami a tými, ktorí*é pri pohľade na jej diela zažijú aha-moment napr. v podobe smiechu nad situáciou, ktorá je síce zveličením, ale zasahuje podstatu problému s milimetrovou presnosťou. Vedle česko-anglického slovníku hudební teorie předkládá také text, ve kterém vysvětluje proces hledání vhodných českých ekvivalentů. Zdůrazňuje nutnost znalosti co nejširšího kontextu při vzniku každého termínu. TEXTile Manifestoes je mezioborová antologie, která spřádá nejrůznější otázky spojené s textilním uměním, módou, textualitou a vetkává je do širších politických, sociologických, filosofických a umělecko-historických souvislostí, čímž překračuje rámec jejich vlastní textury. Propojením triadického celku TEXTu – TEXTilu – TEXTury se TEXTile Manifestoes snaží reflektovat, kreativně přetvářet, kriticky promýšlet, dekonstruovat a dekolonializovat žánrovou ambivalenci manifestu jakožto převážně mužské formy modernity, která autoritářsky usiluje o zcela odlišnou budoucnost. Antologie vychází ze strukturálního a metaforického sepjetí textu a textilu, aby se pokusila jiným způsobem promyslet politické a etické otázky současného světa, který se tak zoufale snaží hledat jistoty a zřetelný program moderního manifestu, a to aniž by se uchýlil k těm nejhorším formám totality. Původní projekt „TEXTile Manifestoes“ vznikl z mezioborové spolupráce několika ateliérů na Vysoké škole uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze. Studentky a studenti ateliérů designu oděvu a obuvi, grafického designu a vizuální komunikace, tvorby písma a typografie a fotografie II byli osloveni, aby společně propletli textil a diskurz jakožto vlastní manifesty kombinující módní kolekce a palčivé otázky současného světa, jako je všudypřítomný dohled a kontrola, umělá inteligence, nebo virtuální realita, případně otázky osobnější týkající se identity, paměti a (duševního) zdraví. Studentské práce následně doplnily a (re)kontextualizovaly zahraniční a tuzemské příspěvky, jejichž rozsah sahá od Andských textilních studií, neuropsychoanalýzy, literární a umělecké kritiky, až po estetiku a muzikologii. Annotation in English: The TEXTile Manifestoes is an interdisciplinary anthology that assembles and interweaves questions related to textile art, fashion and textuality into broader political, sociological, philosophical, art history and historical frameworks thereby expanding their range of textural interconnections. This anthology departs from the genre-related ambivalence of the manifesto as a modern male form of authoritatively demanding radically different futures by using the manifesto to connect with the triadic complex of TEXT – TEXTile – TEXTure in order to reflect, refashion and redefine it in creative, critical, deconstructive and decolonial ways. Departing from the structural and metaphorical contiguity of texts and textiles, TEXTile Manifestoes aims to rethink the political and ethical in a world desperately seeking the certainties and clear programmes of modern manifestoes without returning to the worst forms of historical totality. The original project “TEXTile Manifestoes” emerged out of a cross-disciplinary collaboration between several studios at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Students from the Studios of Fashion and Footwear Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication and Type Design as well as Photography II worked together to weave textiles and discourses alike to design their manifestoes by combining fashion collections with burning contemporary issues such as mass surveillance, artifical intelligence or virtual reality but also to more private struggles of identity, memory and (mental) health. The students’ works were later complemented by and (re)contextualised with international contributions ranging from ancient Andean textile studies to neuropsychoanalysis or from literary and art criticism to aesthetics and musicology. Antonín Heythum (1901-1954) byl výjimečnou a výraznou osobností výtvarné kultury v meziválečném Československu a později v USA. Významně zasáhl do několika oborů (scénografie, architektura, nábytek, průmyslový design, pracoval jako vysokoškolský pedagog), avšak jeho tvorba byla dosud zpracována zlomkovitě, bez širšího kontextu, izolovaně a s omezením pouze na některé obory. Přípravě knihy předcházelo pečlivé zmapování jeho rozsáhlého mezioborového díla v archívech na českém i americkém území s cílem popsat a zhodnotit jeho přínos pro všechny zmíněné oblasti. Pečlivě je popsána rovněž jeho spolupráce s významnými umělci (Man Ray, Erwin Piscator, Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Frederic Kann atd.) a jeho výstavní aktivity probíhající ve více než šedesáti místech Evropy a USA. Knižní monografie vychází v česko-anglické jazykové mutaci. Publikace obsahuje úplný soupis inscenací Antonína Heythuma, rejstřík a resumé. Text doprovází bohatý obrazový materiál z rodinné pozůstalosti, českých a amerických sbírek (plány, kresby, scénické a kostýmní návrhy, fotografie, rukopisy) a poznámkový aparát.

V roce 1902 navštívil Prahu a Moravu francouzský sochař Auguste Rodin. Tato cesta, spojená s jeho tehdy největší zahraniční výstavou, byla důležitá nejen pro sochaře samotného, ale zanechala nesmazatelné stopy i v místě návštěvy. Byla zásadní pro tehdejší generaci malířů a zejména sochařů, kterým pomohla ujasnit si cestu k modernímu výtvarnému směřování, a předznamenala také budoucí orientaci naší výtvarné scény na francouzské umění. Z toho, co tehdejší umělecká a společenská elita považovala za důležité této významné návštěvě ukázat, lze navíc usuzovat mnohé o prioritách a charakteru české společnosti na počátku 20. století. Publikace se poprvé systematicky věnuje doprovodnému programu, který byl pro Rodina připraven. Na základě nového studia archivních pramenů (časopisů, korespondence, osobních archivů aj.) se snaží rovněž zmapovat důvody, proč přijel Auguste Rodin na Moravské Slovácko, kde navštívil Výstavu slovenských a moravských výtvarných umělců v Hodoníně a kde u příležitosti jeho návštěvy proběhla téměř „celoslovácká“ slavnost.

Pozornost je upřena na autory a jejich díla, u kterých oděv přesahuje svůj užitný rámec, stává se aktivismem, propojuje se s volným uměním, či vstupuje jako narativ do kulturně-sociologického kontextu společnosti. Jde o antologii zahraničních textů a dalších teoretických článků doplněných o rozhovory s autory, tvůrci, teoretiky i odborníky mimo umělecké obory (sociology). Knižní vydání prvních pěti čísel legendárního undergroundového časopisu Vokno, které vyšly mezi lety 1979-1981. Kompletní revidované texty doplňují úvodní komentáře, závěrečná studie a jmenný rejstřík, ale také část faksimilí zabaveného čísla šestého. Původní obsah a řazení příspěvků včetně ilustrací jsou zachovány. Jde o první ze tří připravovaných svazků, v nichž postupně vyjde všech patnáct samizdatových čísel Vokna. Jestliže je pro všechny nezávislé kultury typická určitá nedůvěra, s níž dávají přednost vyjádření skrze "self-management“, pro časopis Vokno to platí dvojnásobně. Nejen proto, že se v období totality stal centrem československé nezávislé kultury a tudíž i synonymem politického odporu, ale také proto, že nemohl jinak, než se zaměřit na svou vlastní soběstačnost a autodidaktický přístup. Časopis Vokno vystavěl hraniční území mezi totalitní mocí a svobodnou kreativitou: Stal se symbolem hledání nezávislého vyjádření a v době marxistického mediálního blafování vyvinul sobě vlastní kreativní autonomii. Vokno vytvořilo rovněž intelektuální zázemí pro všechny jedince, kteří byli v antagonistickém vztahu s normalizační politikou. Historický přínos časopisu je tedy právě v tom, že se v období naprostého ukřižování svobodné kreativity dokázal vzepřít omezenému pokrytectví a poskytl prostor pro informace, jež jinde nebylo možné publikovat ani číst. Neodmyslitelně se tak řadí mezi ty zdroje nezávislé kultury, které se staly jednak „generátorem“ nových myšlenek a na straně druhé i jejím efektem. Knižním komentovaným vydáním prvních pěti čísel časopisu, na něž budou navazovat i další dva svazky, si můžeme připomenout strategie přežití z této doby, zároveň však získáme možnost, jak historicky nahlížet na regionální i světové hudební trendy, výtvarné umění, nebo na postoje některých intelektuálů.
