Síla i budoucnost jest národu národnost
Tato kniha je výstupem projektu Architektura a česká politika v 19. 21. století, na němž tým Katedry teorie a dějin umění UMPRUM pracuje od roku 2018. Autoři nechtěli mapovat politickou architekturu českých zemí v 19. století, nýbrž zkoumali různé podoby interakcí architektury a politiky. Zajímalo je, jak architektonické formy reprezentovaly ideologické a sociálně-psychologické obsahy nebo jak spoluvytvářely mocenské vztahy a politické pozice. Motto v názvu knihy, jehož autorem je architekt a mecenáš Josef Hlávka, poukazuje k ústřednímu tématu svazku úloze architektury při formování moderního českého národa. Kromě toho autoři ukazují, jak monumentální architektura z pojednávaného období vyjadřovala či formovala loajalitu občanů ke státu či dynastii, jak přispívala k rozvoji demokratických institucí a občanské společnosti, případně jakou roli hrála v sociálních procesech spojených s industrializací a modernizací. Grafika Tereza Hejmová a Kristýna Žáčková. Kniha vychází v česko-anglické verzi za podpory Ministerstva kultury České republiky v rámci Programu aplikovaného výzkumu a vývoje národní a kulturní identity (NAKI II).
Palo Macho (doplnené vydanie)
Palo Macho (1965) patrí k výrazným predstaviteľom súčasného umeleckého skla. Prepája farby so sklom (jeho povrchom) na podobných princípoch, ako je tomu v klasickej maľbe. Nemá však k dispozícii plátno, ale sklenenú platňu, nie farby, ktorých tóny vidí okamžite, ale sklárske emaily, listre a drahé kovy, ktoré svoj výsledný odtieň vydajú až potom, čo prejdú taviacim a vypaľovacím procesom v sklárskej peci. Maľba má niekoľko vrstiev: podmaľba sa prekrýva s vnútornou maľbou i s maľbou na povrchu. Aj preto musí byť všetko vopred vymyslené, naplánované, overené. Machove maľby na skle, sú zvláštnym druhom maliarstva. K všetkým týmto výrazovým prostriedkom pristupuje ešte jeden aktívny a kľúčový prvok – transparentnosť sklenej tabule a s ňou aj svetlo, ktoré je schopné meniť, dotvárať a oživovať vnímanie jeho diel.
Druhé vydanie reprezentačnej monografie predstavuje Machovu tvorbu slovom a obrazom: jeho dielom vás sprevádzajú historičky umenia Katarína Bajcurová a Sylva Petrová, ktoré vo svojich textoch osvetľujú princípy jeho uvažovania a tvorby, ako aj miesto v širších medzinárodných kontextoch súčasného skla. Peter Blake: Collage
Peter Blake (b. 1932) has remained constant and groundbreaking in his exploration of the medium of collage throughout his career spanning seven decades. Most recognised for his iconic 1967 cover for The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, Blake already understood the potential of collage as an art form as a student at the Royal College of Art in the 1950s, where his reputation as a founder and key proponent of the Pop Art movement was established.
An avid collector, Blake's collages combine junkyard treasures and found objects with images from popular culture. He revisits themes drawn from his childhood - the entertainments of the circus, the glamour of the cinema and the showmanship of the wrestling ring - weaving detailed, often humorous narratives. Masarykova univerzita vydala pod záštitou paní primátorky JUDr. Markéty Vaňkové a pana rektora prof. MUDr. Martina Bareše, Ph.D., druhé doplněné vydání česko-anglické knihy Sochařské Brno 1989-2019. První kapitola představuje cyklus Sochy pro Brno (sochy věnované osobnostem spjatým s dějinami města, jako např. W. A. Mozart, J. Skácel, T. A. Edison aj.). Druhá kapitola přibližuje sochy v areálech Masarykovy univerzity, třetí dokumentuje sochařská sympozia a čtvrtá připomíná mezinárodní přehlídku Brno Art Open / Sochy v ulicích. Nová kapitola nazvaná Čím se provinilo město se zamýšlí nad nesnadnou úlohou vedení města při podpoře sochařského umění.
Kniha v reprezentativní grafické úpravě představuje na 290 stranách 179 fotografií celkem 130 děl a 100 stručných medailonů sochařek a sochařů. Na schematické mapě ukazuje rozmístění soch. První vydání ze září 2019 bylo již na jaře 2020 vyprodáno.

A tetten ért halál című könyvnek, amely angolul Death in the making címmel 1938-ban jelent meg, még nem volt magyar kiadása. Ez az új reprint kiadás, egy fotótörténeti ritkaság, pontos mása az 1938-as kötetnek, de az eredeti papírképek és negatívok felhasználásával új másolatok készültek hozzá, és kiegészült egy történeti igényű esszével. A fotók szerzőségét is sikerült pontosan azonosítani, ennek során derült fény arra, hogy közülük néhányat Robert Capa és Gerda Taro mellett barátjuk, Chim készítette.
A képszövegeket Robert Capa, az előszót Jay Allen írta. A könyvet André Kertész tervezte.
A tetten ért halál fényképeken keresztül követi nyomon a spanyol polgárháború első évének eseményeit. A fotók és az azokat kísérő szövegek egy rendkívüli időszakban ragadják meg a diadalmas pillanatokat, és rajzolják ki a háborús borzalmak krónikájának ívét: a demokratikusan megválasztott spanyol kormány védelmében a köztársasági erők összefognak, hogy leverjék a Francisco Franco tábornok vezette fasiszta felkelést. Képi rekviem ez, mely emléket állít a kezükben fegyverrel elesett harcolók ezreiről. 1937 őszén, amikor ez a kötet készült, már világosan látszott, mennyire megszenvedi a spanyol köztársaság, hogy számos európai ország és az Egyesült Államok - a be nem avatkozás politikáját választva - elárulta ügyüket. A tetten ért halál elégikus hangvételű tisztelgés az áldozatvállalás előtt.
Robert Capa huszonöt éves volt, amikor A tetten ért halál megszületett. Az ő képein kívül Gerda Taro német fotóriporter - ő 1937 júliusában vesztette életét a spanyol fronton -, valamint lengyel kollégájuk, Chim képei fejezik ki a szenvedélyes hitet és elköteleződést a demokrácia egyik legnemesebb ügye mellett.
