Publikace vychází z dizertační práce realizované pod vedením doc. Lady Hubatové-Vackové a obhájené na Katedře teorie a dějin umění UMPRUM v roce 2019. Ústředním tématem projektu je proměna vizuálních motivů a symbolů masových tělovýchovných performancí od šedesátých let 19. století do roku 1989. Struktura textu vychází z předpokladu, že vizuální motivy a symboly migrují a že se jejich význam mění na základě konkrétního společenského a kulturního kontextu. Proměna vizuální reprezentace tělesné kultury je analyzována prostřednictvím konkrétních vizuálních a performativních znaků v reprezentaci Sokola, dělnických tělovýchovných jednot, federace proletářské tělovýchovy a československých celostátních spartakiád. Nemecká jeseň približuje jedno z najzaujímavejších období v dejinách nemeckej kinematografie, ktoré sa formovalo v 60. rokov minulého storočia, v čase vzniku nových vĺn a smerov vymedzujúcich sa voči tradíciám a establišmentu. „Išlo o zvláštne a mimoriadne dynamické obdobie nielen v nemeckej kinematografii, ale v celej nemeckej spoločnosti,“ hovorí filmový teoretik Michal Michalovič z oddelenia vedy a výskumu Slovenského filmového ústavu (SFÚ), kurátor prehliadky Nemecká jeseň. „Približne v druhej polovici 60. rokov sa postupne začala k slovu dostávať generácia tvorcov, ktorí reagovali na najživšiu nemeckú prítomnosť, no zároveň nezatvárali oči pred katastrofickými udalosťami druhej svetovej vojny. In recent decades, archaeologists in South Africa have discovered some of the world's oldest artworks - extraordinary examples of humankind's first artistic endeavours. Today, South Africa enjoys a vibrant, often politicized contemporary art scene, one that draws on both the recent and the more distant past to comment on the present. Taking as its point of departure the earliest known artistic tradition in Southern Africa 100,000 years ago, South Africa: the art of a nation explores the history of South Africa through a selection of its artworks, playing particular attention not only to their relationship to one another, but also to their connections to ket episodes in the nation's evolution. By setting up a dialogue between past and present, between art objects old and new, the book offers a refreshingly novel way of looking at South Africa, a story that begins many millennia before the creation of the modern nation.
After considering the first artistic stirrings of our earliest ancestors, this richly illustrated publication turns to the establishment of the first centralized societies in southern Africa in the first millennium AD and their bearing on the appearance of the three-dimensional figurative art. The artistic influences of European and Asian settlers from the 17th century onwards are considered next, followed by an examination of colonial conflicts and related artworks, and then a presentation of rural San|Bushman, Khoekhoe and black South African artworks from the 1800s. The issue of segregation after the Union of South Aftica in 1910 and 'Resistance Art' during the apartheid era are tackle in the penultimate section, while the final chapter considers South Africa's transformation from an apartheid state to a democratic nation and the art it continues to inspire.

Pražská Pallas a moravská Hellas 1902
V roce 1902 navštívil Prahu a Moravu francouzský sochař Auguste Rodin. Tato cesta, spojená s jeho tehdy největší zahraniční výstavou, byla důležitá nejen pro sochaře samotného, ale zanechala nesmazatelné stopy i v místě návštěvy. Byla zásadní pro tehdejší generaci malířů a zejména sochařů, kterým pomohla ujasnit si cestu k modernímu výtvarnému směřování, a předznamenala také budoucí orientaci naší výtvarné scény na francouzské umění. Z toho, co tehdejší umělecká a společenská elita považovala za důležité této významné návštěvě ukázat, lze navíc usuzovat mnohé o prioritách a charakteru české společnosti na počátku 20. století. Publikace se poprvé systematicky věnuje doprovodnému programu, který byl pro Rodina připraven. Na základě nového studia archivních pramenů (časopisů, korespondence, osobních archivů aj.) se snaží rovněž zmapovat důvody, proč přijel Auguste Rodin na Moravské Slovácko, kde navštívil Výstavu slovenských a moravských výtvarných umělců v Hodoníně a kde u příležitosti jeho návštěvy proběhla téměř „celoslovácká“ slavnost.

Knižní vydání prvních pěti čísel legendárního undergroundového časopisu Vokno, které vyšly mezi lety 1979-1981. Kompletní revidované texty doplňují úvodní komentáře, závěrečná studie a jmenný rejstřík, ale také část faksimilí zabaveného čísla šestého. Původní obsah a řazení příspěvků včetně ilustrací jsou zachovány. Jde o první ze tří připravovaných svazků, v nichž postupně vyjde všech patnáct samizdatových čísel Vokna.
Jestliže je pro všechny nezávislé kultury typická určitá nedůvěra, s níž dávají přednost vyjádření skrze "self-management“, pro časopis Vokno to platí dvojnásobně. Nejen proto, že se v období totality stal centrem československé nezávislé kultury a tudíž i synonymem politického odporu, ale také proto, že nemohl jinak, než se zaměřit na svou vlastní soběstačnost a autodidaktický přístup.
Časopis Vokno vystavěl hraniční území mezi totalitní mocí a svobodnou kreativitou: Stal se symbolem hledání nezávislého vyjádření a v době marxistického mediálního blafování vyvinul sobě vlastní kreativní autonomii. Vokno vytvořilo rovněž intelektuální zázemí pro všechny jedince, kteří byli v antagonistickém vztahu s normalizační politikou. Historický přínos časopisu je tedy právě v tom, že se v období naprostého ukřižování svobodné kreativity dokázal vzepřít omezenému pokrytectví a poskytl prostor pro informace, jež jinde nebylo možné publikovat ani číst. Neodmyslitelně se tak řadí mezi ty zdroje nezávislé kultury, které se staly jednak „generátorem“ nových myšlenek a na straně druhé i jejím efektem.
