Útek nádeje / The Flight of Hope (obojstranná kniha)
Básnická poéma v štyroch jazykových mutáciách, ktorej súčasťou je zvukový záznam na CD, je venovaná Ondrejovi Čaneckému z dediny Skalité pri poľsko-slovenských hraniciach. Pred vyše osemdesiatimi rokmi Ondrej Čanecký prvý na území Slovenska pomohol dvom mladým Židom Alfrédovi Wetzlerovi a Rudolfovi Vrbovi pri úteku z nemeckého koncentračného tábora v Osvienčime-Brezinke. Jeho zásluhou sa dostali do Žiliny a vydali svedectvo, vďaka ktorému sa zachránilo vyše 200 tisíc Židov. Príbeh Wetzlera a Vrbu bol viac razy spracovaný vedecky, filmovo a formou literatúry faktu. Doteraz ale nebol stvárnený poeticky, o to je poéma Jozefa Leikerta vzácnejšia.
Čo už
Autorova najnovšia básnická zbierka je čiastočne rekapitulácia, čiastočne ironický pohľad básnika na jeho osobnú ako aj na všeobecnú prítomnosť. Štrasser, ako to býva v poslednom čase jeho zvykom, vyjadruje svoj postoj k realite účinnou básnickou skratkou. Aj vďaka tomu je vtipný, niekedy až briskný. A wandering meditation on motherhood, language, and art and a parallactic and slow amble through private rooms and interiors. The result is a woman ricocheting off the bounds of a marriage, memory, and herself. The latest book by Gillian Sze, author of the Pat Lowther Memorial Award-winning book Quiet Night Think. This prosimetrical work is a meditation on motherhood, language, and art. The central speaker witnesses the earliest utterances of her child and launches into a poetic inquiry of words themselves, asking, How to measure one''s mouth by its words? The speaker seeks an answer amidst the language that surrounds her - words misspoken, mispronounced, remembered, unwritten - and, in doing so, struggles with signification and significance. Each prose poem in the five-part collection darts between the many meanings of ''fit'' - as in ''a sudden burst of emotion'' or ''to be the right size and shape,'' and the archaic ''fytte'' (a section of a poem). A text becomes an open mouth, a square day of a calendar, or a bare fragment of a narrative. The final section of the book is an intimate and ekphrastic engagement with the work of Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershoi. Drawn to Hammershoi''s paintings of the empty rooms of his apartment, the speaker recognises a familiar space of art''s insistence. NMLCT
These poems explore the tension between the synthetic and authentic, raising hope for an escape from MCHNCT (Machine City) to NMLCT (Animal City), where ''real life'' might still exist. Imagine The Matrix retold by the reanimated cyborg bodies of the Brothers Grimm. Fables and fairytales collide with virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and monstrous myths in a world where no one knows what to believe. In his eighth book of poems, Paul Vermeersch responds to the increasing difficulty of knowing what is real and what isn''t, what is our genuine experience and what is constructed for us by The Algorithm. In a ''post-truth'' society rife with simulations, misinformation, and computer-generated hallucinations, these poems explore the relationship between the synthetic and the authentic as they raise hope for the possibility of escape from MCHNCT (Machine City) to NMLCT (Animal City), where the promise of ''real life'' still exists. These poems - all precisely 16 lines long, identically formed as though mass-produced - are themselves artificial creations, products of the imagination, sometimes disorienting but always vivid. They hold up a mirror not only to nature, but also to its unnatural distortions and facsimiles. In NMLCT, Vermeersch gives us his answer to an existence in thrall to the artificial. But it also foretells a different future, one where the air and the grass and the trees, and all the life they engender, might always be genuine and sensed and safe.

(On Un-)Becoming is a collection of stories, reflections, forgivenesses and offerings rooted in conversations and conflicts with FreeQuency''s mother, chosen family & other selves. The anti disciplinary project liberates the concept of ''transitioning'' from the realm of Westernised notions of gender and expands explores explodes the concept of (un)becoming in relationship to international Blackness, migration movement, geographic and corporeal displacement, spiritual mental health and the ties between personal and communal transformation.
Pavilon kůstek
Co je pavilon kůstek? Snad výstavní budova, která předvádí kosterní pozůstatky. Nabízená podívaná je groteskní i tajuplná. To jsou nakonec tóny, jež lyrik Ewald Murrer orchestruje nejlépe. Život je nádherný i krutý, vždyť i krásné jablko, které obřadně spočívá na míse, je určeno k rozřezání nebo ku dravé hostině, v horším případě k rozkladu a hnití. Murrer je básník produktivní, umí básně vážné i hravé. Pavilon kůstek se ukazuje jako sbírka hluboce vážná, v autorově díle drévní, silně osobní. V jádru knihy se básnický subjekt transponuje na místa, která v něm zanechala otisk, avšak s pamětí vyvstávají jako omamně neurčité a mizející obrazy… JIŘÍ KOTEN
Sýkorník
Haiku je krátká báseň zachycující skutečně prožitý okamžik. Cílem autora haiku je dovést pozorného čtenáře k objevování záměrně nedopovězených částí textů. Možnost spoluvytváření haiku je jedním z hlavních důvodů, proč se tato forma poezie celosvětově těší stále větší čtenářské oblibě. A to nejen mezi obdivovateli japonské kultury. Autoři textů této česko-slovenské dvojsbírky Katka Soustružníková a Peter Kovalik díky zvládnutí pravidel formy zachycují haiku v jejich domovském kulturním prostředí. Oba autoři plně nechávají vyznít krásu svého rodného jazyka. Stejný přístup k přenášení znalosti formy do motivů z blízkého prostředí má i malířka sumi-e Alena Bártová, která je autorkou nádherných ilustrací doprovázejících texty.

Po desiatich rokoch od vydania doteraz poslednej, doma i v zahraničí oceňovanej básnickej zbierky Caput Mortuum, prichádza autor s novou básnickou knihou Poézia. Torzo. Michal Habaj opäť ponúka básnicky originálny obraz nášho sveta plný znepokojujúcej imaginácie osnovanej okolo takých tém ako sú krása, sexualita, komodifikácia, identita, technológie, budúcnosť človeka a sveta či existenciálne otázky. Na ďalšej rovine zbierka reflektuje proces transformácie a reinterpretácie umeleckého diela.
Michal Habaj (1974) básnik a literárny historik. Vydal básnické zbierky 80-967760-4-5 (1997), Gymnazistky. Prázdniny trinásťročnej (1999), Korene neba. Básne z posledného storočia (2000), Básne pre mŕtve dievčatá (2003), Michal Habaj (2012, 2. vyd. 2018) a Caput Mortuum (2015, 2. vyd. 2017). Posledné dve zbierky získali ocenenie Kniha roka v ankete denníka Pravda, zbierka Caput Mortuum tiež Prémiu Literárneho fondu v kategórii poézia. Reedícia prvých štyroch zbierok vyšla v súbornom vydaní pod názvom Spevy kyborgove (2020). Je držiteľom medzinárodných cien za poéziu Velikaja premija Bereznevi koti (Užhorod, 2014) a Cena Václava Buriana (Olomouc, 2018). Pod gynonymom Anna Snegina publikoval zbierky poézie Pas de deux (2003) a Básne z pozostalosti (2009). Je jedným zo spoluautorov experimentálneho básnického projektu Generator X: Hmlovina (1999) a Generator X_2: Nové kódexy (2013). Je tiež spoluautorom básnickej knihy The European Constitution in Verse (2009). Jeho básne boli preložené do väčšiny európskych jazykov a zaradené do mnohých medzinárodných antológií. Samostatné knižné výbery z jeho poézie vyšli v Mexiku Nostalgia o Invierno en Bratislava (2018) a v Nemecku Erwachen (2021), zbierky Caput Mortuum, Michal Habaj a Korene neba boli vydané v maďarskom preklade (2019, 2020, 2025).
An Unfamiliar Place
In mid-fourteenth-century Japan, amid decades of civil unrest caused by a violent rivalry over imperial succession, three men embarked on journeys that would lead them to reimagine their world: the second Ashikaga shogun and general Yoshiakira (1330–1367), the Buddhist lay priest Sokyu (ca. 1350), and the statesman Nijo Yoshimoto (1320–1388). All three shared elite social status, political connections, and a deep engagement with poetry. Yoshiakira traveled from Kyoto to Sumiyoshi Shrine in Osaka to pray for poetic skill; Sokyu left his home in Kyushu and wandered for three years across Honshu, visiting sites celebrated in traditional waka poetry; and Yoshimoto, after fleeing an attack on his home in Kyoto, found refuge in distant Ojima and comfort in composing poetry surrounded by "the scene of an unfamiliar place." Their memoirs, written within a decade of each other, offer important insights into how their worldviews—formed by centuries of canonical literature and court traditions—were increasingly challenged by their encounters with new situations and territory, landscapes they would capture from perspectives of absence and erasure. An Unfamiliar Place examines how these three traveler-poets used both literal and metaphorical "unfamiliar places" as sites of expressive power, to not only explore novel ways of existing in and moving through the world, but also reassess their assumptions about the social and cultural significance of geographic space.
Básně I.: Ganymedovo ovoce
První svazek Díla Pavla Petra s názvem Ganymedovo ovoce shrnuje juveniilní verše psané v rozmezí let 1982–1991 (v jednotlivých případech ještě s autorovým zásahem a úpravou na samém začátku devadesátých let, nejpozději potom u jednoho textu v roce 1994).
Kniha je rozdělena do oddílů: rok 1982 zastupuje jedna báseň, stejně tak rok 1983 je zastoupený jednou básní (napsanou v Otrokovicích-Štěrkovišti) a roky 1984–1986 obsahují jedenáct básní. Dále je kniha řazena do oddílů – Juvenilia I. (Zrcadla) zahrnující roky 1987–1988, Juvenilia II (Věštby pro chudé, Kořeny skácených stromů, Cesta jižních měst, Velká Morava, Králi, Pastýřův zvonek znící v katedrále) zahrnující roky 1988–1991, Juvenilia III. (Pašije, Moravské ohlasy, Tratě, Okluky, Po paměti, Zmizelé verše) zahrnující roky 1990–1991, v posledním oddíle tiskneme dvě básně z roku 1991 pod názvem Origines. Do roku 1990 autor publikoval pouze samizdatově. Vydal pět autorských samizdatových tisků – Poutník a blázen, 1986, Věštby pro chudé – Déšť ve vězení řeky, 1987 / s dvěma autorovými fotografiemi /, sešitek – bez názvů s básněmi – Padá strom, Vonící země, Přiblížené třesoucí se ruce, 1988 / s jednou autorovou frotáží /, sešitek – bez názvu s básněmi – Zrcadla, Paseka je plná milodarů / s dvěma autorovými kresbami /, Králi, 1989–1990, strojopisné samizdaty Poutník a blázen, Věštby pro chudé, Déšť ve vězení řeky a Králi jako autorské soukromé vydání svázal a upravil zlínský knihař Bohumil Siegel.
Pastýřův zvonek znící v katedrále (deníkové záznamy ve verších) vyšel jako samostatný autorský tisk v roce 1991 (grafická značka, tisk a úprava Lubomír Jarcovják, Šarovy), básně (cestovní záznamy ve verších) Cesta jižních měst z roku 1990 vydal v jedné originální autorské knize se svými fotografiemi Libor Stavjaník (knižní vazba Lubomír Jarcovják).
Tichý rozhovor
Haiku v tejto zbierke prinášajú tichú, sústredenú meditáciu. Krajina, brezy, svetlo, dážď, hmla či noc sa zvnútorňujú a otvára sa priestor na spomalenie, zastavenie a návrat k prostým no hlbokým dotykom so svetom. V trojveršiach sa stretáva prchavosť okamihu s hlbokou kontempláciou, krehká krása prírody s intimitou ticha. Zbierka osloví každého čitateľa hľadajúceho pokoj, obraznosť a návrat k jednoduchosti.
5-7-5 Hajku a senrjú
Dvanáctá básnická sbírka Vladimíra Martince přináší tiché, pozorovatelské verše, v nichž se prolíná prostá krása přírody s jemně ironickým odstupem i pokorným přemýšlením o smyslu psaní. Martinec, jenž svou básnickou dráhu rozvinul až ve zralém věku, zde pokračuje v cestě úsporného, průzračného jazyka. Poezie jemná, soustředěná a osobní, propojující radost z pozorování světa s meditativním hledáním „správné“ básně, jež se nakonec rodí z prostého okamžiku.

Emocionálne ladené spomienkové skice a nekrológy v básnickej zbierke Martina Prebudilu, najmä v jej prvej časti s názvom Maliari básnici a iné svety, majú očarujúcu atmosféru melancholického básnenia opojeného krásou i múdrosťou, vzdialenou z hľadiska času, ale aj bližšou z hľadiska prežívania, neraz smutnou, no vždy nádejnou vo svojom lyrickom obsahu, vnútri tajomnej inšpirácie, ktorú môže poskytovať aj smútok, aj trpkosť minulých chvíľ, nenávratne vzdialených.
V cykle Ak vieš o čom hovorím sa čitateľa dotkne závan domova, sebahľadania, sebareflexie, sebaanalýzy na pozadí vzťahov s inými. Momenty jemnej erotiky, záblesky strachu i porozumenia, odtiene smrti a milovania, úlomky našich snov a zmarených túžob, samoty a ľúbostného vzťahu.
V poézii Martina Prebudilu ide predovšetkým o vzťahy, o vzájomné dotyky, o spolu nažívanie a najmä o spolu prežívanie, o začiatok a koniec života, o Boha, o lásku.

Kdysi dávno byl Jiří Koten odhodlán stát se básníkem, pak jej ale život přikoval k vědecké a pedagogické práci. Co s lyrikou v takovém případě?
