Monografie nově mapuje architektonické dílo vídeňského architekta Carla Seidla, pocházejícího z významné šumperské rodiny podnikatelů v textilním průmyslu. Jeho stavby se nacházejí na rodném Šumpersku, v polské Lodži a na Jadranské riviéře v Chorvatsku. Reprezentativní publikace bude sloužit k lepšímu poznání architektova díla realizovaného v rakousko-uherské monarchii a překvapí čtenáře mimořádným rozsahem vysoce kvalitních staveb.

Anton Šmotlák
Piata publikácia Aurela Hrabušického a Filipa Vanča z edície Osobnosti slovenskej fotografie predstavujte Antona Šmotláka (1920 - 1979). Ako profesionál sa špecializoval na divadelnú fotografiu, ale od samého začiatku sa venoval aj živej fotografii. Patril k prvým slovenským fotografom, ktorí sa v rámci živej či priamej fotografie postarali o uvoľnenie z dogiem socialistického realizmu. Spontánne a bez predsudkov zaznamenával okamihy z bežného života v Bratislave, ale aj inde na Slovensku. Do fotografie vniesol hybný moment, akceleráciu diania, razanciu v záberoch, akýsi fotografický „drajv". V druhej polovici 50. a začiatkom 60. rokov obsiahol taký široký register tém a spracoval ich s takým porozumením ako máloktorý iný slovenský fotograf. Možno sa mu to podarilo aj preto, lebo bol „dobrotivým paparazzom" - ako ho nazval Július Satinský, keď komentoval jeho predčasnú smrť.
Antické umění ve sbírce Národního muzea
Bohatě obrazově vypravená kniha mapuje největší sbírku antických památek v Čechách a na Moravě. Byl mimo jiné autorem prvního dokumentu o Václavu Havlovi a také jednou z hlavních postav Originálního videojournalu. Jan Bernard rekonstruuje Hýbkovu životní pouť na základě průzkumu velkého množství archivních materiálů i rozhovorů s pamětníky. Kniha tak rozšiřuje dosavadní poznání dějin každodennosti a alternativní kultury v socialistickém Československu a přináší i nové informace o zrodu filmového a televizního průmyslu na počátku 90. let.

Baroque 1600-1780
The baroque period spanned the whole of Europe from 1600 to 1780.
