Ensor
It was never a sure thing that James Ensor (1860-1949), the great Belgian painter of macabre and ghoulish scenes, would become a nationally revered figure. He was unusual in many ways. Apart from his training in Brussels, he spent his entire long life in Ostend, seemingly the opposite of cosmopolitan. Later on he was expelled by the group Les XX for a particularly controversial canvas: The Entry of Christ into Brussels, which he had painted in 1889. An expressionist before the term was coined, Ensor used the iconography of masks and skeletons to point up the essential horrors of life, and often underwrote his images with a sardonic gallows humour. It has been said that he appropriated the subject matter of a Bosch or Bruegel and revisioned them using the techniques of Manet or Rubens. But this is to diminish his own unique take on both art and experience. A genuine maverick in the way that so many Belgian artists are (lest we forget Magritte), James Ensor can claim a dark and distinctive place in the art histories of the last hundred years.
Hiroshige
Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was one of the last great artists in the ukiyo-e tradition. Literally meaning "pictures of the floating world", ukiyo-e refers to the famous Japanese woodblock print genre that originated in the 17th century and is practically synonymous with the Western world's visual characterization of Japan. Though Hiroshige captured a variety of subjects, his greatest talent was in creating landscapes of his native Edo (modern-day Tokyo) and his most famous work was a series known as "100 Famous Views of Edo" (1856-1858). This book provides an introduction to his work and an overview of his career.

Už samotný název knihy – 100% dítě – dává najevo, co bude hlavním tématem: autorce jde o to, naučit čtenáře zachytit na fotografii skutečné dítě. Ne objekt pečlivě připravený na fotografování, vydrhnutý a vzorně oblečený, ale dítě s jeho radostmi i starostmi, s jeho pohledem na svět, vztahy se sourozenci i rodiči.
V knize o fotografování samozřejmě nemůže chybět fotografická technika, ale autorka minimálně na stejnou úroveň klade i techniky navazování vztahu s dítětem nebo s celou skupinou dětí, které přicházejí na fotografování. Zdůrazňuje, že teprve při citlivé spolupráci všech, kdo se na fotografování podílejí, mohou vzniknout působivé snímky.
Autorčin jazyk je bezprostřední, nevyhýbá se však ani pokročilým fotografickým tématům, jako je používání studiových světel nebo systémových blesků, ale k celé problematice přistupuje prakticky a způsobem, který je snadno stravitelný i pro začínající fotografy.
V současné době plné nejrůznějších webových galerií a jiných odpadišť fotografií, ve kterých se snímky, které nikoho nezajímají, hromadí nepředstavitelným tempem miliónů obrázků denně, působí jako z jiného světa doporučení autorky na tisk fotografií, a to nejen v malém formátu, ale především ve velkých formátech určených k zavěšení na zeď.
Kniha je doplněna velkým množstvím působivých fotografií a představuje jednu z publikací, která by neměla chybět v rodinné fotografické knihovně nebo v knihovničce každého, kdo se dětskou fotografií zabývá.

Noir
Due to the technological advances of the nineteenth century, an abundance of black drawing media exploded onto the market. Charcoal, conte crayon, and fabricated black chalks and crayons; fixatives; various papers; and many lifting devices gave rise to an unprecedented amount of experimentation. Indeed, innovation became the rule, as artists developed their own unique-and often experimental-processes. The exploration of black media in drawing is inextricably bound up with the exploration of black in prints, and this volume presents an integrated study that rises above specialization in one over the other. This richly illustrated catalogue brings together such diverse artists as Francisco de Goya, Maxime Lalanne, Gustave Courbet, Odilon Redon, and Georges Seurat and explores their inventive works on paper. Sidelining labels like "conservative" or "avant-garde," the essays in this book employ all the tools that art history and modern conservation have given us, inviting the reader to look more broadly at the artists' methods and materials. Kandinsky
The richness of Wassily Kandinsky's life, work and thought make him one of the leading figures of 20th-century art. Nolde, Klee & der Blaue Reiter
The foundation stone for the exceptional collection of Gabriele and Anna Braglia was laid by an exhibition of German Expressionism in Venice.
