Hudba byla a je součástí našeho každodenního života.
Takto všudypřítomný fenomén zatím unikal hlubšímu vědeckému zkoumání. Jak vzniká tón a jak melodie? Jsou vzpomínky i hudba „uloženy“ ve stejné části mozku? Proč nám někdy v hlavě uváznou písničky a nemůžeme se jich zbavit? Má náš mozek nějaké zvrácené potěšení z toho, že nás pomalu přivádí k šílenství nesmyslnými reklamními znělkami? S těmito a dalšími otázkami se autor v knize snaží vypořádat.
