Milk Wood Memoir
Milk Wood Memoir, the fourth collection by Samantha Wynne-Rhydderch, opens with a handful of family recollections of Dylan Thomas, including Samantha’s grandfather’s presence in the poet’s house on the night he was shot at in March 1945. Thomas’s wartime sojourn in New Quay in West Wales from 1944 to 1945 was one of the most important creative periods in his life. Many scholars have linked the small coastal town to the imagined Llareggub (buggerall) in which Thomas set his most famous work, Under Milk Wood. New Quay’s present-day poet-resident, Samantha Wynne-Rhydderch, takes up the baton of the guide who never made it into the final version of Thomas’s play, showing us around her hometown through the eyes of its inhabitants past and present. In a series of eco-elegies, she explores how the wood of Under Milk Wood is turning into a floating forest due to coastal erosion. The paths once walked by Dylan Thomas between his bungalow and the pubs of New Quay are slowly collapsing into the sea, taking with them both trees and houses. As the guide takes us along the path she points out moments and monuments, all the while relating various ‘hanes’ (pronounced ha-ness, a Welsh word for stories, gossip) relating to local characters, a sort of family lore handed down the generations. Texty v debutovej básnickej knihe Veroniky Kolejákovej Porcelán prepájajú intímnu skúsenosť so znepokojivou laboratórnou optikou: telo je pozorované, klasifikované, tvarované, vystavené tlaku a deformácii, a zároveň prežívané zvnútra ako miesto napätia a zraniteľnosti. Výrazným prvkom je ženská skúsenosť práce, starostlivosti a sebatvorby. Dôležitou vrstvou cyklov sú rodinné vzťahoch a rozličné stratégie prežívania v ich dysfunkčných podobách. Objavujú sa každodenné prostredia – škola, práca, domácnosť či zdravotnícke zariadenia –, v ktorých sa odohrávajú malé aj zásadné konflikty. Do popredia vystupujú aj skúsenosti detstva a dospievania: situácie poníženia, vzdoru aj izolácie. Prežitie a definovanie seba sa deje ako séria prispôsobení, opráv a deformácií. Blízkosť je možná len nepriamo, v zástupných gestách, skutočný kontakt je nedostupný alebo rizikový. Porcelán tak slovenskú poéziu obohacuje o nový výrazný a nenápadne sebavedomý autorský hlas.
Veronika Kolejáková (*1978) vyštudovala psychológiu na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského a divadelnú dramaturgiu na Vysokej škole múzických umení. Popri autorskej a dramaturgickej činnosti v divadle a televízii sa venovala prekladom odbornej literatúry a drámy. Ako psychologička a Gestalt terapeutka sa v individuálnej a skupinovej práci zameriavala na problematiku dopadu klimatickej krízy a spoločenských zmien. Poéziu publikovala v časopisoch Dotyky, Glosolália a na platformách Psí víno a Kapitál. S cyklom básní Andrej ~ Marta sa stala víťazkou súťaže Básne 2016. Od roku 2025 pôsobí ako umelecká riaditeľka Divadla P. O. Hviezdoslava. Žije v Bratislave.
Abeceda lásky

Poezie jako zbraň proti relapsu. Autorka vyhrává boj s poruchou osobnosti i vlastní hlavou – a chce vás mít u toho.
Musela opustit milovanou osobu, aby neztratila samu sebe. Zůstalo jen zoufalství a osamění. Relaps si zakázala. A tak psala, psala, psala, až se z ničivé prázdnoty zcela vypsala. A poprvé v životě našla lásku sama v sobě. Syrový otisk cesty od truchlení, samoty a závislosti k osvobozující síle. Svoboda, co stojí za každou slzu. Pro všechny, kteří potřebují vědět, že v tom nejsou sami.

Prezimovanie duše
Po zbierke haiku Slabikovanie duše (Signis, 2022) prichádza Jozef Tatár s ďalšou zbierkou tejto japonskej formy poézie Prezimovanie duše. Názov jemne naznačuje emóciu i atmosféru básní: stretávame sa so smútkom, melanchóliou spojenou so sklonkom roka a života, aby ich následne vystriedala nádej, optimizmus a očakávanie príchodu niečoho nového, radostného, šantivého. Autor sa však nevyhýba ani iným témam, ako je literatúra, výtvarné umenie, okolie v meste/ dedine a pod. Ide o čriepky, postrehy detailov každodenného
života, jednotlivé haiku sú akoby zábleskami, ktoré si (ne)všimneme pri bežných činnostiach, avšak príroda je najmocnejším všeobjímajúcim činiteľom, v ktorej všetko žije. Aj ľudia..
